Transmigrated to Raise Panther Cubs
Chapter 275 After the Rain
“It’s alright. I really am strong.” Zachary smiled as he held Jaden a little more securely. “Let’s head home.” Taylor and Jaden waved goodbye, After that, Zachary carried Jaden into the rain and started back.
They had only gone halfway when a tall figure appeared ahead through the misty curtain of rain. Zachary looked over uncertainly. “Matthew?”
Matthew turned toward the sound and walked over with long strides. “Why are you outside in this weather?”
The umbrella in his hand blocked most of the rain from falling on them.
Zachary smiled up at him. “I went to visit Elias this afternoon. The rain got heavier later, so Jaden brought me a cloak.”
Matthew only then noticed the cub in Zachary’s arms. He reached out, lifted Jaden with one hand, and carried him instead. “Come on. Let’s go home.”
That night’s dinner was chilled shredded chicken tossed in a bright lemon–chili dressing. Zachary had made an extra portion at noon, and after resting for several hours, the sauce had soaked into the meat, making it even more flavorful.
Matthew had also made a pot of warm congee and washed a generous pile of perilla leaves. Thick slices of meat hissed on the hot stone slab, releasing a rich aroma into the cave.
The three of them sat around the stove. Outside was cold rain, while inside was warmth, food, and the quiet comfort of being together.
Candlelight trembled along the stone wall.
Zachary had just finished washing and lain down when Matthew leaned over him. Those broad hands moved with familiar confidence, and the thin layer of fabric between them was soon pushed aside.
Matthew lowered his head and kissed him. Between breaths, he murmured, “I don’t have to go out tomorrow.”
Maybe rainy days really did spark strange ideas. Zachary lifted one hand and pressed his palm against Matthew’s mouth, stifling a laugh. “Do you want to play a different game tonight?”
Something warm and wet brushed across his palm.

Matthew nodded. A clear trace of expectation appeared in his golden eyes.
Zachary said, “Uh… wait here for a moment”
Then he sat up and went to the clothes rack, searching through it.
Under the firelight, Matthew watched him from the bed. His gaze moved slowly over Zachary’s neck, back, waist, and the long line of his legs.

Chapter 275 After the Rain
Soon, Zachary returned with a strip of cloth and covered Matthew’s eyes.
Matthew went still for a moment. “Zachary?”
Zachary pressed him back against the bed. “Don’t rush.”
A cord brushed against Matthew’s wrist next. It felt like the kind they usually used to tie beast–hide bags.
His anticipation only grew stronger.
The black panther who could make other therians avoid his temper was unbelievably obedient in front of his mate. He even lifted both hands, offering them without being told.
That cooperation did not last long.
Zachary had enthusiasm, but no skill. After fumbling with the cord for quite some time, he almost tied Matthew in the same practical way they tied up a moo beast.
The so–called game barely began before Zachary lost all his energy first. He collapsed onto Matthew’s chest breathing hard, his eyelids growing heavier and heavier.
A vein jumped at Matthew’s forehead. “Zachary.”
“Mmm… just let me rest for a little while.” Zachary patted him lazily, as if calming a large animal. “I’ll
continue soon…”
Matthew held back his frustration and waited.
When he looked again, Zachary had fallen asleep.
“Zachary!”
“Don’t be noisy.”
Then, a sleepy slap answered his wronged call.
The next morning. Zachary opened his eyes because someone’s gaze was burning into him.
Still drowsy, he tried to stretch, only to realize something was not right. His body stiffened. Then he turned his head and met Matthew’s handsome face, which carried a deep, silent resentment.
The memories from the night before came back at once.
Zachary’s eyes dropped to the marks around Matthew’s wrists, and guilt hit him immediately. He smiled in the most obedient way he could manage. “You’re awake?”
Matthew’s anger seemed to rise again the moment he heard that. He turned his face away and refused to look at him.
Zachary knew he had no right to argue. He crawled closer and began kissing Matthew again and again, quick and careful, like a small bird trying to peck away someone’s temper. “Tin sorry, I was wrong,”
“I really was too tired.” His voice sounded painfully sincere. “I didn’t mean to fall asleep.”

Chapter 275 After the Rain
Matthew still ignored him.
”
Zachary hesitated for a moment, then disappeared beneath the blanket. His apology came out muffled from below. “I’m sorry..”
Much later, Zachary looked at Matthew’s relaxed expression and finally let out a breath. Good. He’s finally not angry anymore.
Matthew, whose mood had clearly recovered, walked out of the cave feeling refreshed.
The rain had stopped, and sunlight spread across the tribe.
In an excellent mood, he picked up a basket of dirty clothes and went to the river.
The clucking beasts had grown bigger over the past few days.
Zachary worried they might fly away soon, so he planned to trim their wings. Doing it alone with a bone knife would be troublesome, so he decided to wait for Matthew.
After washing and hanging the clothes, Matthew glanced at the clucking beasts in the pen. A moment later. he went back into the cave, took off his clothes, and shifted into his black panther form.
One paw held a clucking beast down. The claws of his other paw moved quickly and cleanly.
Snip. Snip. Snip.
He worked faster than someone cutting hair. Before long, the entire flock had been given a neat trim.
Kyle and the others had not forgotten their promise. Once the weather cleared, they arrived with tools and started digging a cave for Zachary’s moo beasts. Each of them worked with great effort, as if slowing down would make them lose face.
Since they were building a shelter for the moo beasts, the moo beasts naturally had to provide hospitality. Zachary collected two clay vessels of fresh milk and brewed a large pot of boba.
That evening, he prepared both fondue and grilled meat. The therians ate until they were completely satisfied.
At the same time, the tribe began planning a proper place to raise animals. The chief specifically asked Zachary to help decide how to arrange the place.
Zachary’s knowledge came mostly from the village where he had lived as a child. In that village, almost every family had a fenced corner in the yard for chickens, ducks, or geese. Some families also kept pigs. sheep, or cattle, though never in large numbers.
Because of that, Zachary walked around the Black Panther Tribe several times before settling on a location,
In the end, he chose a spot behind the tribe, close to the mountain. The area was safe, and caves could be dug into the slope without too much trouble. If extreme weather came, the animals could be quickly driven inside.
