Chapter 101

But this was his fault. All of it. If he hadn’t abandoned me, if he hadn’t denied me, if he hadn’t left me with no other options, I wouldn’t have had to degrade myself like this.
Tomorrow. I’ll see him tomorrow. And it will all be worth it.
I drove home in a daze. Showered until the water ran cold. Brushed my teeth three times. Ignored the pain in my ass, my scalp, my mouth, my sore pussy.
Each time I thought about seeing Dominic tomorrow, my heart raced.
I missed him. God, I missed him.
I missed the way he held me. The way he touched me. The way he made love to me, like I was
something precious. I missed the way he smelled. The way he laughed. The way he looked at me like I was the only woman in the world.
I hadn’t realized how much I needed him until he was gone.
Tomorrow. Everything changes tomorrow.
My alarm went off at five AM.
I was out of bed before it finished ringing. I showered again. Did my hair. Put on my best dress, the one Dominic used to love, emerald green that hugged my curves and made my skin glow. Heeled shoes. Red lipstick.
I ate breakfast even though I wasn’t hungry. Checked my reflection twelve times. At six-thirty, I grabbed my keys and drove.
The club was called The Den. I parked outside at exactly seven.
Sparrow wasn’t there.
I waited. Checked my phone. Checked the entrance. Checked my phone again.
Seven-fifteen. Seven-thirty. Eight.
Oh God. He tricked me. He lied. He took what he wanted and he lied.
I walked up to the entrance, found one of the bouncers, asked where Sparrow was.
“He’ll show up. Be patient.”
I paced. I wanted to scream. I wanted to cry. I had let that man do things to me, degrading things, and he
had lied.
At eight-thirty, a black car pulled into the lot.
Sparrow stepped out, smiling.

“You said seven,” I snapped.
“I did show up, didn’t I?” He gestured. “Let’s go. We don’t have much time.”
I got into my car. He told me to follow him. I drove behind his car through the morning traffic until we arrived at a restaurant that looked like it belonged in a magazine.
The front gate had a sign: Members Only.
He gestured to me, and I parked my car on the street and quietly got into his passenger seat.
He pulled up to the entrance, rolled down his window, flashed a card. The guard nodded. The gate opened.
He parked inside the lot.
The restaurant grounds were quiet. Deserted. No other cars, no staff moving around, nothing.
“Are you sure he’s here?” I asked.
“I know who Dominic Ford is. He probably paid the restaurant to clear the entire area for his meeting. Just be patient. You’ll see him soon.”
My heart hammered.
“Don’t rush over and ruin the moment. If you disturb his meeting, he might get upset. And that could
affect me.”
“Dominic is my husband. He just has to see me. He won’t get upset.”
I was confident, but my hands were shaking.
And then I saw him.
He walked out of the restaurant, his side to me, a phone pressed to his ear. He was wearing a white shirt and dark green trousers, polished shoes that caught the morning light. Everything about him screamed luxury. Power. The man I married.
I opened the car door before Sparrow could stop me. I stepped out.
Dominic. My Dominic. After all this time.
I called his name.
He turned.
He stood there, phone still at his ear, staring at me like he’d seen a ghost.
I ran.
I didn’t think. I didn’t care about the meeting, the arrangement, the propriety. I just ran. I threw myself at him, wrapped my arms around his body, buried my face in his chest, and broke down crying.

“I missed you,” I sobbed into his shirt. “I missed you so much. Don’t leave me again. Please. Don’t leave
me again.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic)
Agent Frost better teach Tasha how to protect herself if anything gets out of hand or if she’s ever in danger or forced again...
I need some good news for Tasha. Special Agent hear her out and don’t let her get back into that life. Do I hear a romance or someone Tasha can truly count on besides Scarlett??...
I hope Tasha is let off and helped by this detective and gets away from all this maybe a twist for this novel is she gets on the good side of things and gets away from that life completely even if she has to separate herself from Scarlett but it appears Tasha gets hurt by Scarlett’s and sparrow’s stupidity as she’s blamed for Scarlett’s decisions...
Her life is ruined and Scarlett’s been living a luxurious life through it all...
I officially hate everyone for hurting Tasha and allowing things to happen to her. This whole Sparrow and Scarlett situation is some BS....
It’s a bit stupid that as powerful and ruthless sparrow is he and Scarlett sure do a lousy job of protecting and having guard on Tasha. Like how did all of this happen to her if he was supposed to be protecting her based on the contract??...
More Chapters Please...
I thought it said 10 chapters a day??? It’s been like 2-3 days and no update after chapter 574. The release time is so inconsistent, I have started to just loose interest....
Just find Tasha and get her some help. How did she have sparrow’s men watching her if she really cared so much. Scarlett’s character is so suspect…...
Storyline is interesting it’s just so much sexual content I have to skip through just find out the main context of the story....
