“I am sure this is a man I love, right?” Riley said slowly, the words coming out hesitant, like she was testing each one before she let it fall. “And I married him. I dress basically for him to admire. So if he no longer finds me beautiful in these sexy dresses, I could make adjustments.”
I nodded, my smile turning sharp. “Oh, you could make adjustments. That is very generous of you. So let us say you give up your career as a model. You start dressing the way this man wants. You become a stay-at-home wife. You cook, you clean, you mop, you do everything to be the best wife you could be. And one day, you find out that your husband has been having an affair.

“Why are you quiet?” I asked. “Cat got your tongue? Tell me what you would do if your husband did all of this to you.”
