Chapter 165
I gave him the new address of Helix Research Laboratory, the one Celeste had moved to after the old building had become too small for her growing operation. He drove in silence, his hands gripping the steering wheel, his jaw tight with an anger that 1 had carefully cultivated, carefully nurtured, carefully aimed at the person I wanted him to destroy.
When we pulled into the parking lot, I saw her.
Celeste was walking across the lot, her bag slung over her shoulder, looking every bit the successful woman she thought she was. She had not seen us yet. She had not seen the storm that was about to hit her.
Felix parked the car. He turned off the engine. And just as he was about to open his door, his phone rang.
I peeked at the screen from the back seat. My Love. His fiancée.
He stepped out of the car and walked a few paces away, his back to me, his voice low as he answered the call. I watched him, watched the way his shoulders tensed, the way his free hand ran through his hair, the way his body language shifted from anger to guilt to something I could not quite identify.
The call ended. He put his phone away. And then he turned and saw her.
Celeste.
She was walking toward her car, her back to us, completely unaware of the danger bearing down on her. Felix began to walk toward her, his strides long and purposeful, his fists clenched at his sides.
I got out of the car. I leaned against the door. And I watched.
He caught up to her just as she saw him and began walking toward him. I could not hear what he said, but I saw the surprise on her face, then the anger.
And then Felix raised his hand and slapped her across the face.
The sound cut through the parking lot like a gunshot. Celeste staggered backward, her hand flying to her cheek, her eyes wide with shock and pain. She stared at her brother like she did not recognize him, like he was a stranger who had walked up to her and attacked her without warning.
I could not help myself. I smiled.
I pulled out my phone and called Kingsley Duke. He answered on the first ring.
This was just the first move in a game I intended to win.
And when I was done, Celeste and Pat would be nothing but footnotes in the story of my revenge.

The readers' comments on the novel: Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic)
Agent Frost better teach Tasha how to protect herself if anything gets out of hand or if she’s ever in danger or forced again...
I need some good news for Tasha. Special Agent hear her out and don’t let her get back into that life. Do I hear a romance or someone Tasha can truly count on besides Scarlett??...
I hope Tasha is let off and helped by this detective and gets away from all this maybe a twist for this novel is she gets on the good side of things and gets away from that life completely even if she has to separate herself from Scarlett but it appears Tasha gets hurt by Scarlett’s and sparrow’s stupidity as she’s blamed for Scarlett’s decisions...
Her life is ruined and Scarlett’s been living a luxurious life through it all...
I officially hate everyone for hurting Tasha and allowing things to happen to her. This whole Sparrow and Scarlett situation is some BS....
It’s a bit stupid that as powerful and ruthless sparrow is he and Scarlett sure do a lousy job of protecting and having guard on Tasha. Like how did all of this happen to her if he was supposed to be protecting her based on the contract??...
More Chapters Please...
I thought it said 10 chapters a day??? It’s been like 2-3 days and no update after chapter 574. The release time is so inconsistent, I have started to just loose interest....
Just find Tasha and get her some help. How did she have sparrow’s men watching her if she really cared so much. Scarlett’s character is so suspect…...
Storyline is interesting it’s just so much sexual content I have to skip through just find out the main context of the story....
