I felt a grim satisfaction settle into my chest. Good. Very good. “Then where are the videos? Where are the cameras?”

She winced, and I knew the bad news was coming. “I could not retrieve them. I was looking for the opportunity to grab them before I left, but Dominic got an emergency call and he said he had to leave immediately. He told me to get dressed, that he did not know when he would be back, and that he could not leave me alone in his penthouse. I tried to buy time, I told him I wanted more of him, I practically begged him to stay, but he said he would spend time with me tomorrow evening instead.”

The anger flared in my chest, hot and bright, but I forced it down. The footage existed. That was the important part. The cameras were still in his bedroom, still recording, and she would have another chance to retrieve ther

I paced the length of the living room, my mind churning. The thought of Dominic’s sex video, of finally having the weapon I needed to ruin him the way he had ruined me, was almost intoxicating. Celeste had acted like Dominic was some kind of paragon, some better man, but he was just like me, if not worse. He was an animal with a pretty face, and soon the whole world would know it.
