Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic) novel Chapter 384

“What are your thinking about?” he asked. “I have been calling you for the past mingie.”

“I am so sorry.” I scrambled to my feet. “I guess I did not hear you. What did you say?”

“Come on.” He gestured for me to follow. “It is time for us to get ready. Something big is about to happen. Something really fun.”

I nodded and followed him quietly, my heart picking up speed, because I had learned that when Emerson called something fun, it was usually anything but.

He drove us to a different building, still painted white, this one busier than the others, with girls coming and going in clusters, their laughter echoing across the courtyard. He pointed to a door. “Go in there. Someone will help you get dressed.”

“What is the occasion?” I asked.

“No questions.” His voice was flat. “Just go and get dressed.”

I nodded and walked toward the room, and when I pushed the door open, I found a dressing room full of girls in various states of undress. They were all wearing the same kind of thing, or rather not wearing anything that could be called clothes. Tiny ropes and straps, their breasts exposed, every part of their bodies on display, the ropes there only to keep their body parts in place. A woman with a warm smile welcomed me, sat me down in front of a mirror, and began to work on my hair, then my makeup, and in no time I looked flawless and beautiful, a picture of perfection.

But I could see it in my reflection, the marks. The hickeys, the bruises, the evidence of everything I had endured since morning.

“My turn to do what, exactly?” I asked.

She chuckled. “Why are you asking me a question when the answer is so obvious?” She pointed toward a door at the far end of the room. “Go toward that room.”

I wanted to ask her about the other girls, but I left it and walked toward the door, pushing it open.

Emerson was there, and he was not alone. The room looked like the one where he had taken me the first day, the BDSM room with the padded walls, but it was worse. The tools, the whips, the restraints, the cages, everything was bigger and darker, and I almost shuddered as I took it in.
