“No need to say anything; I'm having dinner with Alex.”

With that, Elio hung up the phone.

Clara stared at her phone, stunned momentarily, before returning to her senses.

The bathroom door opened, and Emmett walked out, wearing nothing but a towel.

He looked very appealing.

Clara froze for a moment, then covered her eyes with a blanket.

"Emmett! Why are you naked!"

"You've seen and touched; isn't it a bit late to be shy now?" Emmett smiled lightly and said in a good mood.

Clara didn't know what to say; she just pouted and said nothing.

Emmett walked over and pulled the blanket away, "Are you planning to suffocate yourself?"

"Emmett, you can't do this!"

"Do you think this is too much?" Emmett gently blew in her ear, causing Clara to shiver.

"I have something else to do; I need to leave!" Clara said, trying to leave.

Emmett reached out and pulled her back.

"Are you planning to avoid him forever?" Emmett asked, "He looks almost identical to Aiden; their personalities should be similar too! The sooner you get to know him, the sooner you can blend into the Melendez family!"

Clara eventually agreed.

Emmett had already said this much; if she kept dodging, he might get suspicious.

"Alright, I'll do as you say."

"There's something else." Emmett suddenly stood up, took out a document from the drawer and handed it to Clara, "Consider this my engagement gift to you."

Upon hearing this, Clara immediately pushed it back, "I can't accept! You've already helped me pay off so many debts and provided me job opportunities; I can't take anything else from you!"

"You're my wife, using my money, working in my company, isn't that normal? Then whose company do you want to work for? Elio's?"
