"Alright, where are you ? If I'm free, I'll give you a heads up and we can arrange a place to meet up."
"Let's meet up downstairs at the Melendez Group! My place is a bit out in the sticks, so it might not be convenient for you to come."
"Alright, your call."
As Clara was about to hang up, Elio suddenly called out, "Clara."
"What's up?"
"Have you... fallen for Emmett during this time?"
Caught off guard, Clara lowered her head and said, "He's been very good to me, helped me solve a lot of problems, even handled my father's issues."
"But are you happy?"
"I am."
Clara didn't say anything more, just hung up the phone. Looking at her phone screen, Clara felt something was off with Elio. She pocketed her phone and left, Emmett was already waiting for her outside.
"You look a bit off, what's up?"
Clara touched her face, "Really? You might be seeing things. You're taking me shopping, and I should be happy."
"Do you have a preferred car model?"
"No," Clara shook her head and grabbed his sleeve, "If you're trying to cheer me up, you don't need to buy me a car. Let's get some sweets for the kids, then go pick them up from school! They'll be thrilled if their parents come to get them. Their happiness will make me happy."
"You're always thinking about those kids." Emmett sighed, a bit exasperated, "Alright then! Just wait a sec, I'll let Ricardo know we're knocking off early today to spend time with the kids."
