Taylor immediately asked, "And then?"

"Then, your mother blamed everything on Clara," Leah sighed, pretending to shrug regretfully. "And so, you two were forcibly separated. Clara chased you all the way to foreign lands and to the hospital, but she didn't even have a chance to see you. I remember, your mother slapped her twice and told her to stop dreaming."

Taylor shot up from his chair, his hands balled into fists.

"Do you have any evidence for what you're saying?"

"Oops, I forgot that you're her son. I'm really stepping out of line here, accusing Mrs. Atwood," Leah smacked her forehead. "If you don't believe me, I can't do anything about it. I've got things to do, so I'll take my leave now."

After saying that, she picked up her bag and was about to leave.

Taylor grabbed her arm, "Don't leave! Explain everything!"

"Mr. Atwood, you've been asking for evidence. Clearly you don't trust me, so what's the point of me explaining further? Why waste time?" Leah waved her hand dismissively. She took a sip of the lemonade that had just been brought to her. "Thanks for the hospitality, the lemonade is delicious."
