Elio gritted his teeth. He wanted to punch this woman right in the face, but... he couldn't. Because he couldn't predict what Leah would do to Clara next. If he punched her now, would she retaliate against Clara? He couldn't take that risk.
"Give it to me straight, do you really like Clara?" Leah asked, moving closer to him. "If you're just playing games, then get out now! You don't need to worry about what I'll do, I won't drag you into it. We're both Milburns, I'm your sister."
"And if I said I was just messing around, what would you do?"
"Then I'd definitely make Clara marry the Atwoods!"
"You're both women, how can you be so cold-hearted?"
Leah shrugged. "Cold-hearted? If I'm not cold to others, then I won't get what I want! If you make Clara willingly leave Emmett now, I won't bother her! She's in my way, and she has taken my man."
"We can't communicate! You're all twisted!"
"Can't communicate, then just make a choice! You don't need to argue with me about whether what I'm doing is right or wrong, you just need to think about what you should do." Leah sighed. "I've been so good to you, yet you keep going against me, I should have never told you!"
"No way!" Elio immediately retorted. "I love Clara, you can't give her to Taylor! No matter what you want to do, I'm all ears! You just need to promise me not to contact Taylor anymore!"
Leah made an OK sign. "Absolutely! If I can help my big bro, why not?"
"And, you can't hurt Clara in the process! Otherwise, don't blame me for not warning you."
