Leah strolled over with a grin and gave Elio a light pat on the shoulder, "Didn't I make myself clear? You don't trust me at all, do you?"
Elio shrugged off her hand, "Should I trust you? I did once, let you help me! But what did you do?"
"What did I do?" Leah held out her hands, "I helped you get what you wanted! I brought you and Clara together, isn't that a good thing for you?"
"I didn't plan on getting Clara this way! I love her, that's true, but I want her to love me genuinely, to want to be with me!"
"Since when is life so perfect?" Leah faced his accusation without a care, "If Clara were an ordinary woman, maybe, but she's the mother of Emmett's child! She's far from ordinary, and you're no Emmett! Without a few tricks up your sleeve, you'll never get close to Clara."
Elio abruptly turned to leave, but Leah, in her high heels, quickly stepped in front of him.
"I'll remind you, if you spill my plan to Clara, you'll be held responsible!"
"..."
"Don't believe me? Try it!" Leah laughed, "Your parents are in my hands now."
Elio was stunned, "You kidnapped them?!" No wonder they said they were going on vacation and then disappeared! He thought they had gone somewhere with no signal or were having too much fun to see his messages.
"You've got it all wrong! I didn't kidnap them, I merely invited them over!" Leah laughed, "Don't worry, I'll treat them well! As long as my plan succeeds, I'll remember that I am of the Milburn family, bearing the Milburn blood."
"You…" Elio pointed at her, but Leah lowered his hand, "Stop yelling! Clara will be here soon, have you thought about what you're going to say to her?"
