Elio might not be on the same level as Emmett, but he's still a hot single guy who's got plenty of attention! Any other woman would be over the moon to get a chance with him. But Clara was just not into him! And now, Emmett is wrapped around Clara's little finger too!
Leah is racking her brains, trying to figure out what's so special about Clara!
These guys really don't mind a woman who once sold herself for money?
"You'll never understand her appeal," Elio said, standing up and heading back to his room, leaving Leah in the dust.
Just as Leah was about to go after him, her phone buzzed with a new message.
[Are you free tomorrow? I'd like to see you!]
It was from Clara...
Leah hesitated momentarily before typing back.
[What's up?]
[Nothing much, just feeling a bit down lately. Thought we could grab a coffee and chat.]
[All right, I'll make some time. See you tomorrow.]
[Good night.]
Putting down her phone, Leah clenched her fists.
Time to make a move!
Clara's reaction was quicker than she anticipated!
"Clara, you're not clever enough. You can't beat me."
...
That night, Clara barely slept a wink.
She racked her brain on her bed, wondering how to approach Leah without raising any suspicions.
The next morning, Clara got up and went downstairs to find Sophia handing out pastries to Aiden and Alex.
Pastries again...
Why did pastries keep popping up in her life?
She hadn't expected Aiden to be so smart...
"That's settled then. I'm off to school, Mommy!" Aiden waved and ran off.
Clara stood there for a moment before breaking into a smile.
She was truly blessed with a son as smart and considerate as Aiden!
"Are you daydreaming? It's time to go." Emmett had somehow walked over and draped an arm over her shoulder.
Snapping back to reality, Clara nodded. "Okay."
...
After reaching the office, Clara held a meeting with the design department. Back in her office, she started arranging Emmett's schedule.
Glancing at the clock, it was almost time for her meeting!
For some reason, Clara was feeling a bit jittery.
