As she spoke, tears trickled down her cheeks and dropped onto her clothes, making her look very pitiful.

Sophia's annoyance deepened as she watched Leah disappear into the courtyard. "What on earth is wrong with you? Has Clara done something to you? Leah is the mother of your kid!"

Emmett replied, "I think they get along fine."

"You two don't have kids together now, but if you did, what would happen to Aiden and Alex? I can't always look after them as their mother.

"Their father is still alive! Even if Clara doesn't care, do you think I'll abandon them?"

Sophia sighed, "You're always busy at the office; can you take care of the home?"

"It’s fine as long as Clara takes care of the home!"

Sophia retorted angrily, "Clara is good to the kids because she's pretending! There's no way that woman would genuinely care for them!"
