Two Times the Charm (Clara and Emmett) novel Chapter 40

She doesn't even know how tall her other child is.

All she can do is imagine that kid by looking at Alex. That kid might look a lot like Alex...

Every time she thinks about this, Clara feels like her heart is being torn apart!

This is too cruel for her!

"Mama, I'm sorry..."

Clara hugged her son, unable to hold back her tears, "Mama can't lose you again. You have to promise Mama you won't run around on your own and don't talk to strangers, okay?"

Alex nodded vigorously.

He wanted to tell Mama about Aiden. But seeing Mama like this, he didn't dare to speak up.

Seeing Mama so sad, he thought he might have really done something wrong!

He doesn't understand the adult world that well. It's better for him to behave.

The Melendez family.

In the spacious living room.

"What? There's another child!"

"Yes, I saw it with my own eyes," Emmett frowned, "They must be twins, that woman kept one for herself!"

Sophia Melendez quickly covered her chest, almost having a heart attack.

"This is ridiculous! Our contract with that woman clearly stated that if there were multiples, they would all be ours! We would pay her double."

"I will not let my child be lost out there. So I need to know who that woman is."

"No, I'm not."

"You clearly are!" Patrick frowned, stood up and walked over to him, "You haven't had a woman by your side for so many years. We want you to get married, but you always have a lot of excuses. Now you're blaming us for our decision back then! This child was unknown to your mother and me. You should blame that woman for being so bold!"

Emmett didn't say a word.

He didn't have anything to say to his father!

Suddenly, Sophia, who was standing by the side, gasped.

Emmett and Patrick both looked at her.

Sophia quickly walked over and clapped her hands, "Although I can't find that woman, I can find the doctor from back then! I specifically took down the doctor's phone number and ID information! I just wanted to stay informed about my grandson's condition in the womb!"

"Hurry up! Find that doctor!" Patrick also seemed eager, this news was undoubtedly thrilling.
