Sophia whirled around to head upstairs, "Hold on a sec, you guys! I'll go check it out!"

"Be quick about it. I'm gonna get in touch with that agent we had before." Patrick pulled out his phone and walked out to the balcony to make a call.

Emmett had never thought a woman could be so bold!

When they got home, Clara bought Alex's favorite pizza to cheer him up.

Watching Alex happily chowing down on his pizza, Clara couldn't help but crack a smile.

It's so easy to make a kid happy! If only Alex could always stay this simple and easy to please.

After Alex finished eating, he washed his hands and announced he had to go study.

Clara nodded and patted his head, "Good boy! That's my son!"

Alex dashed back to his room.

Just as Clara was about to start working on her computer, her phone rang!

For some reason, her heart started racing!

She got up to answer it and it was Emmett.

Why was he calling her this late?

"What can I do for you, Mr. Melendez?"

"There was a little boy at the company today, I want to know who he is."

"I've sent you his picture, go dig up some info for me."

Clara quickly glanced at her computer screen.

It was a picture of Alex!

Crap! Alex had caught someone's attention!

Suddenly, as if making up her mind, Clara picked up her phone and dialed a number-

"Hello...I'm sorry, could you do me a favor?"

"Do you have any idea what time it is here?" a groggy male voice came from the other end, "It's 4 a.m.!"

"I'm sorry, I'm really in trouble! I need your help!"

The man sighed, "What happened now?"

"Could I send Alex to stay with you for a while? Alex's identity has been exposed here in the country. I'm afraid people will find him!" Clara nervously bit her lower lip, "I know this is a lot to ask. But I really don't have other options! You're the only one who can fully protect Alex now!"

"So now you remember me? When I proposed to you, why were you so quick to reject me!"

"Alright, I'll send someone to pick up Alex. Be ready!"

Hearing his agreement, Clara breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank you, thank you so much!"
