Even though she was screaming 'no' a thousand times in her mind, she could only nod reluctantly. "Okay, then. Aren't you two tired, though?"

Aiden was more composed and emotionless. "Alex is the one who wants you to play with him. Not me, I'm going to read."

He walked to the bookshelf, picked a book, and retreated to the study room.
