Two Times the Charm (Clara and Emmett) novel Chapter 44

"Didn't your mom tell you that you're leaving school?" The teacher bent down to him and said, "Are you sad to leave?"

"My mom said I'm leaving school?"

The teacher nodded, "Yep! Your mom said you're going to a far place and can't come to kindergarten anymore! But we'll miss you. If you ever get the chance to come back, remember to visit us!"

Aiden was shocked.

He had no clue what was going on! Alex was leaving?

There must be something big going on. Otherwise, his mom wouldn't let Alex drop out!

Oh my God, Alex wasn't sick, was he?

Thinking about this, Aiden turned and ran!

Behind him, the teacher shouted, "Alex, be careful! Don't run around by yourself! Go find your mom!"

"I got it, thanks, teacher!" Aiden said, hastily hailing a car.

"Driver, I need to go to Melendez's company."

"Melendez's company?" The driver glanced at him in the backseat and nodded, "Alright."

Clara was still feeling like she was dreaming while looking at the marriage certificate!

Whether it was real or fake, she legally had a husband.

"What are you thinking about?" Emmett glanced at her.

Clara lowered her head and said, "Nothing..."

"Remember our agreement. Be careful with your words and actions from now on. I don't want any trouble from you for the company."

Clara nodded, "I understand! Anyways, thanks for saving me, Mr. Melendez. You also paid off my debts so I don't have to hide from debt collectors all the time. I won't cause you any trouble."

Clara was grateful!

Clara quickly said, "Nothing!"

Her phone rang just as she finished her sentence.

"I need to take a call!"

Clara turned and walked to a corner before she dared to pick up.

"Hello, Elio Milburn...have you settled Alex?"

Elio sounded a bit helpless, "I'm here, Alex will definitely be safe! What are you worrying about!"

"Alex has never left me in all these years, how could I not worry? I'm worried he'll cry. I'm worried he won't adapt to the new environment!"

"Do you want me to video call you?"

Clara looked at Emmett not far away and refused, "Never mind! It's not convenient right now! I'll video call you when I get home from work."
