Chapter 310 A New Company
The next morning was clear and bright.
After breakfast, Arabella left Cloudrise Manor and headed to Edward’s villa.
“All ready to go, Edward?” Arabella asked, her eyes sparkling.
“All set,” Edward replied, looking refreshed and energized.

Arabella gave him a once–over. Dressed in a well–tailored business suit with gold–framed glasses, he exuded a gentle, scholarly charm rather than a corporate sharpness.
“You know, you look more like a professor than a CEO,” Arabella remarked with an amused sigh.
Dressed like that on a university campus, he’d probably have a trail of admirers!
“Don’t tease me, Arabella. CEO or professor–this company only exists because of you. Without your help, I’d probably still just be the patient,” Edward said, his voice thick with gratitude.
Arabella shook her head. “I won’t let you say that. I believe in you. You’re going to rebuild the Macdonald legacy–a company that’s truly yours.”
Edward held her gaze for a long moment, then nodded with resolve. “I won’t let you down.”
Arabella linked her arm with his. “Then let’s go.”
“Right, let’s head out.” Edward opened the car door for her and then got in himself.
“Hudson Avenue,” Edward instructed the driver.
“Yes, sir,” the driver replied.
Arabella had not only helped him get a car but also arranged for a driver, making his commute infinitely easier than before.
Soon, they arrived at the address.
Looking up at the modern three–story office building, its main sign still draped with a celebratory cloth, Edward was stunned. Staff moved purposefully in and out, and the sheer scale of the operation took his breath away.
“Arabella… this is my company?!” It was far more substantial than he had imagined.
Arabella smiled, her lips curving upward. “Yes, it is!”
“But… this must have cost a fortune!” Edward couldn’t help but murmur. “I owe your friend an immense debt.”
Even a glance told hirn the financing required was beyond his own reach Arabella’s friend must have significant influence
“It’s alright. With my friend co–signing, the loan process was very straightforward,” Arabella reassured him, not wanting him to feel
overwhelmed.
Edward’s curiosity got the better of him. “Just who is this friend, Arabella? How did you meet?”

“We met back when I was doing some freelance work. He’s from a wealthy family, just getting some hands–on experience in the real world,” Arabella fabricated on the spot. She still wasn’t ready to divulge her own background.
“I see,” Edward said, accepting her explanation. “Well, I insist on treating your friend to a proper dinner as thanks.”
“There’ll be time for that,” Arabella said, then tugged his arm. “Come on, let’s go see your new headquarters.”
After a moment’s thought, Edward said, “Arabella, don’t call it my company. You’ve done everything to make this happen. What if we made it our company? I’ll transfer fifty percent of the shares to you. We’d be partners.”
Arabella immediately shook her head. “Edward, please don’t put me in that position. I’ve got my hands full as it is.”
“You wouldn’t have to be involved in operations. You’d just share in the profits,” Edward explained.
“I know you mean well, but I really don’t need it,” Arabella refused firmly.
“Pfft. I think the performance can stop now. You got what you wanted, so why keep up the act?” A mocking voice cut through the air.
Arabella frowned, her gaze turning frosty.
Edward looked over at Harper, displeased. “Harper, what are you talking about?”
“Open your eyes, Edward. Only you still think she’s some innocent. She’s clearly been manipulating you,” Harper retorted defiantly.
“Yeah, think about it,” Dylan chimed in from beside her.
