Just as he finished speaking, the helicopter suddenly banked in the air.

Caroline instantly felt the round little bird in her arms slide from her left arm to her right. Right in front of her, Jet’s pupils blew wide with fear.
His eyes looked like they were about to pop out.
“Human, save me! I think I’m
gonna throw up!”
With no other choice, Caroline tossed Jet straight into her space. It was honestly her first time seeing something that could fly be this terrified of a helicopter.
While she was quietly amazed at how calm Raven was, she suddenly saw him tilt his head- and then vomit all over Tyler.
And not just anywhere. He puked right down the back of Tyler’s undershirt, sliding straight inside and onto his skin.
She could even see bits of half–digested dog food stuck to the cloth.
Caroline felt extremely embarrassed.
The man and the dog stared at each other. Tyler’s eyebrow twitched, and his face darkened as he looked at Raven.
Just as Caroline was about to speak up for Raven, Tyler suddenly turned his head.
The cold look on his face vanished and was instantly replaced by pure grievance.
He looked like the most wronged person alive.
He stared at Caroline with deep, hurt eyes full of quiet accusation and said in a low, smooth voice, “Caroline, your dog ruined my clothes. You have to make it up to me.”
As he spoke, he grabbed her hand. His eyes sparkled like he was seriously waiting to see how she planned to “make it up” to him.
Caroline was speechless.
Any sympathy or guilt she’d felt for him disappeared on the spot.
Meanwhile, Raven swallowed loudly, let out a big burp, and went right back to staring out the

window like nothing had happened.
Only Caroline and Tyler were still looking at each other.
Under his gaze, she felt her face heat up.

In the end, she had no choice. It was her dog who threw up, and Tyler’s situation was honestly tragic.
She pulled a towel out of her space, planning to clean him off.
She wiped at him without thinking, never expecting Tyler to suddenly grab her hand.
She looked up and saw how helpless he looked.
“Could you at least … look at what you’re wiping?” Tyler said, sounding tired.
Only then did Caroline glance down and immediately see his collarbones beneath tight muscles. They looked good.
Her eyes kept drifting downward, landing on his well–defined chest and equally well–defined abs.
Of course, right on top of those muscles was a nasty smear of vomit.
Thanks to her earlier messy wiping, what had been one dirty spot was now spread everywhere -basically all over him.
Hardly anything had been cleaned off. She’d just smeared it wider, making things look even
worse.
At that point, Tyler simply pulled his shirt off and looked at her pitifully. “Caroline, Raven is your dog.”
With his shirt gone, his perfect build was fully on display again.
Caroline felt her throat go dry.
Feeling awkward, she glanced at the other people on the helicopter.
Raven still hadn’t processed the fact that he’d puked all over Tyler. He kept staring out t window, clearly pretending nothing happened.
Shane seemed lost in thought, head lowered as he stared at his fingers, his face completely blank.

The shy young soldier in front was focused on flying and clearly had no intention of turning
around.
Besides, the helicopter was loud. The engine roared nonstop.
Everything Tyler had said earlier had been shouted. That was why Caroline had been so embarrassed and rushed to wipe him down. If he yelled again, everyone would definitely notice.
Taking a deep breath, Caroline wiped him properly this time.
From his collarbones to his chest, and then to his abs.
Only then did she realize Raven was seriously impressive.
After puking all over Tyler’s upper body, he’d somehow even splashed some onto Tyler’s pants.
When her hand went that far, Caroline froze and didn’t dare move lower.
Blushing furiously, she tossed the towel straight onto Tyler. “Do it yourself.”
Then, she pulled out a pack of wet wipes and handed them to him so he could clean up later. A towel alone clearly wasn’t enough.
