What She Overheard in Her Own Marriage novel Chapter 350

Finnian watched her disappear down the dimly lit hallway, a deep sense of exhaustion washing over him.

But her desperate question lingered in his mind.

Did he regret his wedding day?

Honestly, the corporate chaos had consumed so much of his bandwidth back then that he barely remembered his exact emotional state. All he could recall were the endless rows of guests, Kaia's luminous skin under the ballroom lights, her shy, breathtaking smile, and the way she tiptoed to meet his lips when the crowd chanted for a kiss.

When Finnian finally made his way to the dining room, Josephine had already taken her seat at the head of the table.

Noelle seemed to have composed herself, though she remained deathly quiet. Elaine motioned for him to sit. "Are you staying here tonight, or going back to your estate?"

"I'm heading back," Finnian replied curtly.

Noelle stole a nervous glance at him but kept her mouth shut.

Josephine, having exhausted her fury earlier, ate in silence.

The family suffered through a suffocatingly tense dinner. Finnian ate faster than usual, and the moment he set his silverware down, he stood up. "I'm leaving."

"Finnian, could you give me a ride..." Noelle started to ask.

"Didn't you drive your own car?" Finnian cut her off instantly.

"I just... I have something I need to talk to you about," she murmured.

Before Finnian could respond, Josephine cleared her throat loudly from the head of the table.

The sound snapped Noelle back to reality. "Never mind. I'll just drive myself. We can talk at the office tomorrow."

Finnian gave a curt nod.
