What She Overheard in Her Own Marriage novel Chapter 625

Noelle's mind exploded. She froze completely, her smile becoming stiff and incredibly forced.

"What did Finnian tell you?" Noelle asked, trying to keep her composure.

Julian stared directly into her eyes. "He told me about your other side. The side no one knew about. Honestly, I should have woken up sooner. You married Rafael, yet you constantly crossed a moral line with his brother, manufacturing rumors and making sure everyone suspected you two had a secret affair. It might not be illegal, but it's completely unethical."

Noelle was shaken to her core, a sudden wave of panic washing over her.

"Julian, I just made a mistake with my marriage. The person I always loved was Finnian. I thought all of you could see that. My feelings for Rafael were always..."

"Enough. Stop lying." Julian's eyes burned with anger. "I used to pity you as a victim because I liked you. But when Chad and Quentin intentionally distanced themselves from you, I finally saw clearly. I was such an idiot. I completely ignored right and wrong and only focused on your feelings. The truth is, I was wrong too."

Noelle felt like she had been stripped naked and thrown out into the sun. She was utterly overwhelmed, terrified, and restless.

"I invited you out for tea, and this is what you do? You're going to lecture me? You just admitted you like me. Julian, I can give you an answer right now. Actually, I've always admired you too. I think we should try dating..."

"No. I have zero interest in starting a relationship with you." Julian sat up straight, his eyes cold and disciplined. "I know exactly what kind of person you are now. I could never go back to how I felt before."
