Chad scoffed loudly. "Stop dreaming. Kaia is never going to take you back."

The brutal honesty struck Finnian hard. He stared blankly at the ceiling, his eyes wide. "I literally can't think about anything else. She's all that's in my head."

"You brought this entirely on yourself, didn't you? When she was devoted to you, you gave her the cold shoulder. Now that she's moved on, you're crawling back, begging for attention," Chad continued mercilessly.
