“What?” Queenie gasped, her voice trembling in disbelief. “How could she have gone missing?”

Madeline sighed deeply. “I really don't know. She's been missing for two days now. We've searched everywhere, but there's no sign of her.”

Queenie staggered, nearly collapsing to the ground. Luckily, Caliste was there to catch her, steadying her with a firm grip. “Be careful, Mdm. Queenie,” Caliste said softly.

Queenie felt a wave of dizziness and clutched Caliste's hand to steady herself. “Why?” she whispered, her voice laced with desperation. “I finally found her. How could she just vanish again?”

Caliste gently reassured her. “Don't worry, Mdm. Queenie. We'll find her soon, I promise.”

“All right, hurry and send someone to locate her,” Queenie ordered. This time, she wouldn't allow Cecilia to slip away from her again. No matter what it took, she was determined to find her daughter.
