When Her Death Couldn't Break Him (Cecilia and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 1959

Chapter 1959 Give Me Some Money
Hearing her speak, Magnus didn't show the slightest bit of emotion. Instead, he asked, “Granny, do you still have any money? I really need some. Can you send me a bit?”

Heather had thought he was calling to repay what he owed, but he was asking for even more!

“Sweetie, I've already given you everything I had. Where would I get more?” She sounded completely distraught. She was still trying to make up for what her son had lost.

“It doesn't have to be much. Even a few thousand would help,” Magnus said.

“I really don't have anything left...”

“What, are you just going to sit back and watch me die?” Magnus snapped, growing desperate.

That got Heather's attention. “What happened? Are you okay?”

“Don't worry about that, just send me the money!” Magnus barked, his voice growing irritable.

“But I really don't have anything,” she said, her heart aching. She had given him all her savings. After that, her son had even taken what little remained of her retirement fund.

“Then you'd better prepare to see my body!”

And with that, Magnus hung up.

He was out of ideas. He tried calling Cecilia, but no matter how many times he called, she didn't answer. He tried others, but no luck.

The only one who still picked up was Heather. But even she was broke.

The door slammed shut. Magnus' screams echoed from inside.

Later that evening, Magnus woke up. He'd been dumped beside a garbage bin near the hotel. He touched his forehead—it was wet.

“Blood! I'm bleeding!” His eyes widened in horror.

Magnus had hit rock bottom. He reached for his phone to call Cecilia, only to realize it was gone. He didn't even have a watch on him. At that moment, he was completely broke.

“Those miserable sc*mbags! Just wait. When I make my comeback, none of you are getting off easy!”
