Denise looked at Magnus' handsome face. Suppressing her inner turmoil, she shook her head. "Let's forget it. I really don't plan on getting married."
Moreover, she felt that she and Magnus were not meant to be together.
Even though Magnus was in dire straits right now, he still had a sister who was a CEO—he wasn't in the same class as her.
"Didn't I say we don't have to register our marriage? Anyway, you need to make Mr. and Mrs. Laney happy, don't you?" Magnus uttered.
Denise hesitated for a long time before asking, "Do you like me?"
Magnus froze.
Denise looked at him and enunciated, "If you like me and want to be with me, you can say it directly. If this is just to help a friend, then I think we should forget it."
Based on the time they spent together, she felt that Magnus was a good person—at least he was nice to her.
It took Magnus a long time to return to his senses. Instead of lying, he nodded. "Yes, I like you."
His face was flushed as he continued, "To be honest, I don't know how I ended up liking you, but now I just want to treat you well. In all my life, this is the first time I've wanted to please someone so much."
Upon hearing a definite answer from him, Denise remained silent for a long time before finally saying, "Then let's be together."
"Really?" The joy and surprise in Magnus' eyes were apparent.
Denise nodded. "As long as you're okay with dating me. Just as you said, we won't register our marriage. If either of us regrets it later, we can leave at any time."
She actually liked Magnus a little and wanted to try having a new relationship.
"Okay," Magnus replied. Unable to contain himself any longer, he hugged Denise.

Later on, Cecilia received a call from Magnus, who thanked her and told her that he and Denise were now together.
"Cecilia, Denise is a great woman. Once I've resolved my crisis, I'll bring her to meet you. She said she wants to thank you in person," Magnus uttered.
Cecilia pondered for a long time before replying, "You don't need to thank me. Treat her well, and also, make sure you don't owe people money anymore."
"I know. Don't worry, I've really changed now, and I will work hard," Magnus promised.

At that, Cecilia knew some of Magnus' thinking still hadn't changed.
