"Alright, Mr. Rainsworth. If you want it, I can give it to you for free." Mr. Chandler spoke with a broad smile, sounding especially generous.

"That won't be necessary. I'll buy it at ten times the market price," Nathaniel said.

The moment Mr. Chandler heard that, he was stunned.

"Ten times?"

"Yes."

"You'll be taking a huge loss on this. There's nothing special about that piece of land," Mr. Chandler said.

"Don't worry. I won't lose, and neither will you," Nathaniel said.

"Ten times?!" Elena blurted out. "Wasn't that just a patch of wasteland? How did it get that expensive? Mr. Chandler can't just rip you off like that. He has to be taking advantage of you because you're young."

As she spoke, Elena was already reaching for the telephone, ready to call Mrs. Chandler and ask what was going on.

Wren stopped her. "Mr. Chandler refused to sell before, no matter what. He finally agreed, and now you're going to stir things up? Just leave it alone."

Nathaniel spoke up too. "The contract's already signed. Since Dad said it's for expanding the ancestral tombs, spending a little extra doesn't matter."

"Besides, Mr. Chandler hated the idea of selling. I had to talk him into it for a long time."
