Tudela Primary School.
Elliot looked at Jonathan and said, "Jonathan, you're seriously amazing. You even got that many videos of Felix bullying other classmates. No wonder you were so calm. You weren't worried at all about getting cursed out."
After saying that, he let out another sigh.
"Poor me. I got dragged into getting cursed out right along with you for nothing." Elliot propped his chin up with both hands and put on a pitiful look.
Jonathan patted him on the shoulder. "You got put through it. Fine. From now on, all the snacks at the house are yours."
"Really?"
"Of course it's true. When have I ever lied to you?"
"Jonathan, you really are my brother. You're too good to me! Mwah..."
Elliot leaned in, about to kiss Jonathan.
Back when he used to get sick, there had been a lot of things he couldn't eat, so he had always kept himself in check.
Now that his illness was cured and he could finally eat good food, he cared about snacks even more than Jonathan did.
Jonathan lifted a hand and blocked the mouth coming toward him.
"Knock it off."
Elliot didn't mind. "Hehe, okay."
The two brothers on this side stayed as close as ever.
But on the other side, Felix sat at his desk with his head lowered, all the air gone out of him.
He and Jonathan had already made up.
Then his mom had gone and put that kind of video on the internet.
Miranda probably didn't get it.
With his kind of personality, he would rather let the video of him bullying other kids go public than have the video of him getting bullied exposed.
Jonathan beating him up—what kind of face was he supposed to have left after that got out?
"Felix, your mother is here for you."
The teacher's voice carried over from farther away.
Felix looked up.
The color in his face had faded.
He didn't really want to see Miranda.
But there was no getting around it.
Felix froze for a beat, his pupils tightening.
"Mom, why are you taking me to the airport?"
Miranda gripped her phone and looked down at her adorable son. For one brief instant, her hand tightened around it.

The second he heard he was being sent abroad again, the color drained from Felix's face.
"I don't want to go abroad. I'm not going there. I can't even understand what they're saying!"
Felix had studied abroad before. Back there, stuck among those blond, blue-eyed students, every day dragged.
His foreign language skills were bad, so every day he could only talk to himself.
Those blond, blue-eyed kids would even whisper nasty things about him behind his back.
And he couldn't understand any of it...
"You wretched boy, do you really want to end up like your father, always lagging behind everyone else?"
