When She Rose From the Ashes (Natalie and Jensen) novel Chapter 551

**Chapter 551: Take Him Away**

Jensen’s mind was a storm of doubt and suspicion. The more he thought, the more questions swirled around in his head like a tempest, gnawing at his peace of mind.

Rachel felt the weight of Jensen’s gaze upon her, a piercing scrutiny that made her heart race. She could sense that he was beginning to connect the dots, his sharp intellect picking up on things that she had hoped would remain hidden. After all, Jensen was not just any ordinary man; he was the president of a company, a position that demanded a certain level of acumen. He couldn’t possibly be oblivious to the intricacies of the situation.

She could maintain the façade of her own secrets, but she knew that Loretta had no right to think she could manipulate the circumstances to her advantage. This was her son! The thought of Jensen uncovering the truth and turning against Loretta sent a thrill of anticipation through her. It would be a perfect twist of fate, one that could potentially grant her access to the entire Luke family fortune.

The mere idea filled Rachel with a sense of relief, a lightness in her chest that had been absent for far too long.

“Alright, let’s get moving. We need to head to the airport soon,” Rachel declared, her voice steady as she handed Jensen a neatly folded set of clothes. This was the first outfit she had ever purchased for him, and a wave of excitement washed over her. She imagined how handsome he would look wearing it, how it would symbolize a fresh start for them both.

However, Jensen merely cast a dismissive glance at the clothes, his expression one of disdain. “My pajamas are perfectly fine. What is this junk you’ve bought? You think this is fit for me to wear? Hah!” His derisive laughter was like a dagger to Rachel’s heart.

Her blood boiled at his words, a rush of anger threatening to overwhelm her. Yet, she forced herself to take a deep breath, reminding herself, **He’s my son.** The mantra echoed in her mind, a desperate attempt to quell the rising tide of frustration.

Seeing the fury in her eyes, Jensen felt an odd sense of satisfaction. “Hey, twenty years ago, when Natalie was switched at birth, were you involved in that?” he asked suddenly, his tone casual yet laced with an underlying intensity.

Rachel’s body went rigid at his question. She turned to face him, her heart racing. “Are you really that fond of that girl, Natalie?”

“Of course! I love her so much I’d give my life for her,” Jensen declared, his voice filled with passion.

Rachel felt a wave of nausea wash over her, anger bubbling to the surface once more. “If you care for her so much, why didn’t you cherish her? Why did you have to get entangled with Sharon?”

“I made a mistake,” he admitted, his voice softer but still firm. “But she has always held a place in my heart. Right now, she wants to know the truth about our past—the switch at birth. If you know anything about it, you’d best come clean. Otherwise, don’t say I didn’t warn you if something happens to you.”

“Jensen!” Rachel’s voice trembled with rage. How could he speak to her like this? Cursing her to meet a fate without a grave?
