“The one from the Miller family? I heard she’s still abroad. What, do you have some secret you can’t let a real doctor see?”

Noah’s face stayed stiff, revealing nothing. “It’s not Dr. Catherine. It’s Ms. Serena.”

Oh? A girl? Leon’s fox–like eyes took on an even more wicked gleam.

Moments later, the garden gate opened and Serena stepped out of the car.

A sixteen- or seventeen–year–old girl, pink backpack over her shoulders, dressed in a pink–and- white sundress with clean white sneakers. From a distance, she looked like a student heading to a date.

“Don’t tell me it’s her?” Leon nearly laughed out loud. Surely Sebastian didn’t need to drag in some schoolgirl to cover up whatever he was hiding.

“Don’t judge by appearances,” Noah said flatly.

Leon snorted. “Heh.”

From the moment she got out of the car until she walked through the door, Leon’s gaze never left her.

Without a doubt, she was just an ordinary high schooler. Aside from a face that was far too delicate and skin that was far too flawless, he saw nothing remarkable about her.

“Ms. Serena, upstairs please.” Noah stepped forward with a trace of urgency in his tone.

The guards made way. Leon tried to follow, but another guard blocked him until one came down from upstairs. “Mr. Hayes says Leon Fern can come up as well.”

Leon Fern? Serena turned her head. So this was Leon? Then who was the sickly–looking man from before?

Meeting her gaze, Leon raised a brow, his smile turning sly. “Young lady, hello.”

So this was what The All–Seeing Net had recruited? What a character.

“Mm,” Serena replied.

Mm? That was it? Leon couldn’t read a single emotion on her face. A poker face to rival

Sebastian’s.

Together, they entered Sebastian’s room.

Sebastian, dressed in a crisp white shirt, sat on the sofa, complexion healthy. But on the bed lay a woman bound tightly in a blanket, struggling but unable to break free.

Her mouth was gagged, and she gave muffled cries toward Leon. Underwear and a camisole lay scattered on the floor- there was no question she was naked under the blanket.

“She yours?”

Leon didn’t even glance at her. “No.”

The woman instantly stopped making noise.

“Then throw her out,” Sebastian said. “There’s a trash bin right outside.”

Noah accepted the order without a flicker of hesitation, calling in two guards to haul her away.

Even as they carried her out, she tried to call to Leon through her gag, but his expression never changed. “I heard Mr. Hayes wasn’t feeling well, so I brought a doctor to take a look.”

Serena caught every word, and it all made sense – someone respected by a member of The All–Seeing Net, with the surname Hayes, could only be tied to the Hayes Corporation, one of the four great conglomerates.

But if even hackers couldn’t find anything on him, then he was no public figure.

At a signal from Leon, the doctor stepped forward, hands clammy with sweat. But before his fingers touched Sebastian’s pulse, a chill crawled up the back of his neck. He looked up into Sebastian’s faint, unreadable smile — and every hair on his body stood on end.

“Go ahead.” The tone was mild, but it carried an inexplicable chill.

The doctor’s hands trembled as he pressed Sebastian’s pulse.

Three minutes later, he withdrew, wiping sweat from his brow. “Mr. Hayes is in excellent health. If it’s just mild acclimatization, some medicine will suffice.”

Leon was taken aback.

As the doctor left, Leon’s eyes shifted to Serena. “I hear this is Mr. Hayes’s personal physician? Maybe Dr. Zimmerman missed something. Let her check. If something happened to Mr. Hayes on my turf, I’d have to answer to my superiors.”

Sebastian remained calm, lifting his hand toward Serena. She stepped forward and naturally took his pulse.

Leon’s eyes narrowed as he watched. According to his intel, Sebastian broke out in an allergic

After a moment, Serena released his wrist, her gaze cool. “He’s fine.”

She didn’t elaborate.

“Mr. Hayes, rest well. I won’t keep you.” Leon gave a short grunt before finally leaving with his people.

The instant he was gone, the tightly reined–in aura around Sebastian snapped free. He rose and moved into another room without a word.

Noah followed quickly, ordering staff to disinfect the previous room.

When he saw Sebastian taking out his allergy medication, Noah rushed to stop him. “Mr. Hayes, you’ve already taken one today! Zayden’s on his way – please, just hold on!”

The more of that medicine Sebastian took, the more it would cut into his lifespan. Noah would die before letting him swallow another dose.
