When the GF9 Test Subject Became His Obsession novel Chapter 71

“Your Kaplan’s SAT Prep Plus done yet? And you still have the nerve to eat pork tenderloin?”

Patrick had spotted Serena too. He thought they weren’t close enough for her to recognize him, especially with the mask he wore so tightly today that even his neighbor didn’t recognize him while he was out exercising. He figured Serena wouldn’t either. He couldn’t have been more wrong.

“How about we have your friends start doing two Kaplan SAT Prep Plus tests a day from now until the SAT? That way we all suffer equally.”

The only visible part of Patrick’s face, his eyes, burned with the kind of murderous glare that made people retreat instinctively.

He cursed under his breath and turned away.

Serena was more than satisfied. “Sir, I’ll take both slices of pork tenderloin.”

Her voice was soft and sweet, completely different from a moment ago. The food truck vendor looked like he was questioning reality itself.

Thanos followed her, both hands full of food. He glanced at the towering breakfast pile Serena was amassing and shook his head.

“Serena, I’m telling you, girls who eat like this never get married.”

Serena bit into her breakfast rice ball, savoring the juicy pork tenderloin. It was so tender, it reminded her of her mother’s cooking—only better.

She hadn’t had anything “unhealthy” in a while. Turns out, the taste of “unhealthy” food was divine. Maybe that’s just human nature—always craving what’s off-limits.

As she walked and ate, a sports car sped by, kicking up dust and scattering fallen leaves. She instinctively raised her hand to shield her face from the swirl of dirt.

Then she finally understood the noise in the background.

“Taylor… Taylor… Oh my God, it’s Taylor!”

She followed the direction of the screams and watched the car stop in front of the senior building. A boy stepped out—tall, probably six feet, lean in a way that made him look like a manga prince come to life.

“Taylor! I want to have your babies!”

Students from both the A and Building Bs leaned out their windows, screaming like it was a rock concert.

“That’s Taylor,” Thanos said, staring like he’d just seen a celebrity. “I heard the reason you got into Haven High School was because he personally asked the principal to make an exception. Think he’ll kick you out now?”

Given what Thanos knew about Taylor, he wouldn’t be surprised. If someone he vouched for turned out to be a disaster, Taylor’s pride and ego would demand he personally boot that person out.

He was genuinely curious. When the king of the school met the ultimate chaos-bringer, what kind of legendary showdown would unfold?

The idea gave him goosebumps. It was kind of exciting, actually.

“If I do get kicked out of Haven High School, will that make you happy?” Serena’s voice was calm, neither loud nor soft, and her face was breathtaking as always—but something about her tone made the air go cold.

Thanos surrendered immediately. “I never said that! Don’t frame me like that!”

Since they were technically family, Serena let it go. She finished her pork tenderloin, stuffed the rest of the rice ball into Thanos’s hand, grabbed her hot cocoa, and took a sip before finally getting a good look at Taylor’s face.

He was... actually kind of handsome.

Serena, you’re done for.

After comforting Celeste, Taylor headed back to the student council room.

Joshua and the other department heads were already waiting to report in.

Taylor listened and quickly pieced everything together.

The athletic scholarship slots had been snatched by the Building B students. The student council had been publicly humiliated. The Arts Department president race had devolved into fistfights. The president of the Athletic Department had been suspended pending investigation, and the rest of the department was now being treated like criminals.

And the one responsible for all of it?

Serena.

And that wasn’t even the full list. Kennedy had ended up hospitalized after drinking the milk tea Serena gave her. Her face was reportedly ruined. She had to take a leave of absence.

Celeste’s hand had been broken—by Serena.

Wonderful. He had only been gone three months. In that short time, Haven High School—Evervale City’s crown jewel, the pride of Stonehaven, a top-tier institution earmarked for elite development—had been completely wrecked by one person.

A single, catastrophic piece of trash.

“She’s currently holding a temporary post as the vice president of the Arts Department. Sidney appointed her. What should we do?”

He was... actually kind of handsome.
