It was a video call, but Sherilyn couldn't see Nanson's face, only hear his voice. The camera seemed to be pointed at something else... she couldn't quite make it out at first.

"Sherilyn," Nanson's voice came through again. "Take a look. Which one is it?"

What? Sherilyn paused, not quite understanding what he was asking. Then, a long rack of outfits appeared on her screen, all displayed neatly on mannequins. Among them were two dresses that were identical to the one she was supposed to wear.

Her eyes widened in disbelief. She finally realized where he was. He had actually gone to the brand's store in Wessex County. He was showing her their entire collection of new, limited-edition designer pieces for the season. Sherilyn's lips parted in astonishment.

"Sherilyn?" Nanson's voice was tinged with concern when she didn't answer. "Why aren't you saying anything? Are none of them right?"

"No, that's not it..." Sherilyn snapped back to reality. "They're here."

"Really?" Nanson sounded delighted. "Quick, tell me! Which ones?"

"Um," Sherilyn said, her feelings a mix of gratitude and complexity. "It's the first one and the third one."

"Great! I've got it!" Nanson replied. He turned to someone next to him, his voice slightly muffled. "Could you wrap these up for me, please?"

"Of course, Mr. Cooper."

"Sherilyn!" Nanson checked the time. "I have them! I'll bring them over right away! Gotta go!"

"Nanson..." He hung up before she could even try to stop him. She held her phone, feeling a little dazed. He was bringing them to her? Did he even know where she was? He hadn't asked. Sherilyn figured he would probably call back in a minute. But he didn't. Could he possibly know her location? She hadn't told him.

"Sherilyn," the makeup artist waved a hand in front of her face. "Shall we continue?"
