In the entertainment industry, a luxury brand endorsement brought an artist more than just financial gain. This was especially true for Sherilyn, whom Blake was currently pouring all his resources into promoting. "Blake should be up by now. I'm going to find him," she said.
"Alright." Nanson walked out of the room with her and watched her walk away. He glanced at his watch, a thoughtful expression on his face. As far as he knew, the brand Sherilyn mentioned had a branch in Wessex County. After a moment of silence, Nanson took out his phone and dialed a number. A moment later, the call connected. "Uncle, good morning..." he said as he walked towards the elevator.
Meanwhile, after contacting the hotel and the airport, Candida thought for a moment and then dialed Gilbert's number. "Mr. Harrison, it's me, Candida... We have a situation over here with Sherilyn." Even if she wasn't sure Gilbert could fix it, she knew it was always right to inform him.
"I understand," Gilbert said on the other end before hanging up. He immediately summoned Charles. "Contact the Sunhaven branch of the brand," he ordered.
"Yes, sir." Charles left to carry out the order and returned shortly. "Mr. Gilbert, I've spoken with them. They confirmed that Sherilyn's outfit was a new designer piece, and there are only two in Sunhaven." This proved that Blake had secured an excellent opportunity for Sherilyn, making its loss all the more serious.
"I see," Gilbert said after a pause. "Contact one of their senior executives. Tell them I'd like to invite them to dinner."
"Understood, sir." Charles knew exactly what that meant. While this was a major issue for Sherilyn, for Mr. Gilbert, it was a trivial matter that could be resolved with a simple conversation over a meal with an executive. The truth was, whatever resources Sherilyn wanted in the entertainment industry, be it film roles or fashion endorsements, Gilbert could get them for her. The problem was, he wanted to give them to her, but she wouldn't accept.
Charles handled the matter as instructed and then called Candida back. "Just so you know, the situation is handled. You can let Blake know so he can relax."
"I understand, thank you." Candida received the call while on her way to the event venue. As she was about to get out of the car, Sherilyn gave her a questioning look. "Candida, who was that on the phone?"
