“Boss, an armed group just came back! Close to 100 of them!”

The scout’s urgent voice came through the earpiece again.

Tristan frowned. “Weren’t they already lured away? Why are they back?”

“Because someone didn’t follow orders,” Thora said slowly, her voice cold.

Tristan immediately thought of Tobias.

It had to be him.

Thora stepped forward, but several people suddenly blocked her path.

They were from the Blue Star Research Institute.

Every pair of eyes locked onto her. Their target was clearly her.

Elmer shrank back behind Thora in fear.

Thora let go of his hand and placed it into Tristan’s. Her voice went flat. “Take him out first.”

As soon as she finished speaking, deep blue wolf power surged around her.

“Boss…” Tristan frowned, unease filling his heart.

“Take him out first,” Thora repeated firmly.

Tristan didn’t argue again. He grabbed Elmer and quickly retreated.

Tristan immediately shifted into wolf form, carrying Elmer on his back as he broke through the gap. They made it out smoothly.

Blue Star Research Institute’s target was Thora. They had no interest in stopping the others from leaving.

In just a few moments, Thora knocked every last one of them to the ground.

Even though their bodies had been modified, they were still no match for her now.

“Students from Blue Star Military Academy are something else.”

A man in a suit walked out slowly, smiling playfully, though his eyes were disgusting.

Behind him stood a man and a woman.

The woman had a hot figure and wore a black veil over her face, hiding her looks. The man wore combat gear, and the aura around him was far stronger than the people Thora had just fought.

The three of them were Colin, Anne, and Logres.

All three had seen Thora fight before. In their minds, no student from the military academy was weak. Since Thora was clearly the team leader, her strength should be above average.

ammo.”

Tristan handed Elmer to Luke, shifted back into human form, and jumped into the fight. “Even if we can’t last, we must hold the line! Boss hasn’t ordered a retreat, so we fight to the end!”

His return instantly boosted morale. Everyone’s spirits lifted.

Up in a tree in the distance, Shirley lay quietly, never missing a shot. One bullet, one enemy. Sometimes, even two with a single shot.

She aimed and fired calmly. Compared to the chaos below, her spot was strangely quiet.

She touched the bullets on her body. It didn’t feel like enough.

Why were there suddenly so many people? It felt endless.

The enemy fire grew heavier. The gap in numbers was obvious.

Thankfully, the Whale Net developed by the institute had completely failed right now. The team’s hiding spots happened to be in its blind zones, so they couldn’t be locked onto at all.
