Wolfless? No! Call Me Alpha Commander! novel Chapter 506

Chapter 506 Neurotoxin

Thora rolled several times before landing steadily on her feet.

She glanced around. Counting the enemies below and above, there were at least 30 of them.

If it dragged on, there was no telling how long it would last.

Even if she wasn’t killed, she would be worn down to death.

Those people were killing machines-far more terrifying than the Blue Star Research Institute’s earlier artificial werewolves.

Even after taking heavy damage, they could still stand back up.

Their bodies were already half mechanical. Even near death, they kept fighting.

Colin smiled at Anne and Logres. “This is our real trump card. The newest batch of test subjects.”

Logres watched the show with interest. Anne remained expressionless, staring only at Thora in the center.

Thora stood up, her eyes cold.

A wave of ability power spread around her. Enemies who got close were instantly bound by chains that appeared out of thin air, locking them in place.

“She’s an ability user too…” Colin said grimly.

Thora walked out of the crowd at an unhurried pace, as if no one could touch her.

The bound test subjects screamed in agony, like they were being tortured.

What kind of ability was that?

Among all recorded abilities, they had never seen anything like it.

Colin and the others’ expressions grew heavier.

“Go!” Colin ordered again. Another group rushed toward her.

Thora glanced up at the ceiling.

The next second, a huge chandelier crashed down into the crowd.

Anne pulled out a palm-sized pistol and aimed at Thora While Thora was distracted, she fired repeatedly.

What came out weren’t bullets, but thin needles.

Thora sensed the danger instantly.

In her hearing, every needle formed a clear image. It was as if their speed slowed several times over. She easily dodged them.

Anne noticed that as well. Her face turned cold. Instead of aiming directly at Thora, she shot at the nearby test subjects.

At that moment, Thora was steadily walking closer to the three of them.

Logres and Colin raised their guns and fired. Every bullet brushed past her body without even touch clothes.

Their manpower was shrinking. Under Thora’s ability suppression, more and more test subjects lost their fighting power.

Suddenly, among the countless needles Anne fired, one needle passed by a test subject’s ear.

At the exact moment Thora dodged a bullet, the needle pierced her arm.

Anne smiled in triumph.

She had known Thora could dodge, so she used someone else as cover, making it impossible for Thora to track the needle’s path clearly.

By the time Thora noticed; it was too late.

A faint sting spread through her arm. She didn’t pay attention as her body had built antibodies to regular tranquilizers.

But after taking just one step, dizziness hit her hard.

Her nerves began to go numb. Her fingers twitched uncontrollably.

A familiar feeling rose in her mind.

It was a neurotoxin!

Thora dropped to one knee. Her muscles stiffened like iron, as if a puppet with its strings cut.

The attackers around her stopped and stepped back, clearing space.

Anne and the other two slowly walked forward.

Outside, rain and snow pounded against the windows. Inside, it was eerily silent.

Thora slowly raised her head. Her cold gaze locked onto the three approaching figures.

Once the neurotoxin entered her system, her link with Amie was completely cut off. She couldn’t use wolf power or her ability. She couldn’t even move a finger.

In her past life, after being betrayed and injected with neurotoxin by a subordinate, she had taken precautions. At the military academy, she had conducted experiments on herself to build antibodies against toxins like those.

But this toxin was several times stronger than the ones she had tested.

There were many types of neurotoxins, each damaging the body in different ways. This one was clearly designed specifically for someone with her physique.

Anne put away her pistol, smiling proudly. “Even a 3S-level ability user couldn’t withstand this neurotoxin. Using it on you is almost overkill. You should feel honored.”

Suddenly, a gunshot shattered the silence.

Thora’s body was blasted several feet away. The bullet tore through her shoulder blade, and blooured out like water from a broken faucet.

Her pupils shrank. She stared coldly at the three of them. Other than a low grunt, she did

She needed time for the neurotoxin to fully integrate with her body before her body could slow antibodies.

But she didn’t know how long that would take.

Logres blew on the smoke from his gun and sneered. “Sometimes we need a bullet to make someone behave.”
