Chapter 513 Tell Her

Darius understood what she was thinking, and his eyes softened instantly.

“Where is this?” Thora looked around the room as she asked.

Fini

“A manor in Edelburg.” Darius stood up and walked to the window, pulling the curtains open. Sunlight poured in, wrapping his entire figure in gold. “You were badly injured, so I brought you here to see a doctor.”

A meaningful smile curved on his lips.

Thora wasn’t completely convinced, but she remembered him mentioning Yereah earlier. She guessed Yereah was probably in the city too, and Darius had brought her here for treatment.

“Thora, isn’t there anything you want to ask me?” Darius suddenly asked softly, turning his head slightly. There was something unreadable in his eyes.

Thora looked at him calmly. “Do you want to tell me?”

Their eyes met, filled with near-complete trust and quiet understanding.

Thora had never asked Darius about Draven.

As she had said before, she would know when he wanted to talk about it.

Darius used to think that even if he never got a response, it was enough as long as he kept spoiling her. After all, he liked her.

But over time, he realized that in Thora’s world, he was the one being spoiled, too. She gave him time and space. If he wanted to talk, she listened. If he didn’t, she waited.

Only now did Darius truly understand his feelings had long been returned. It had never been one-sided.

The thought made his chest feel warm and tingly, and he couldn’t stop the smile spreading across his face.

He liked Thora so much.

Seeing Darius’s smile, Thora’s cool expression softened. The faint smile at the corner of her lips was subtle, almost invisible, but warmer than the sunlight streaming through the window.

Darius walked toward her against the light and stopped beside the bed.

Thora looked at him with mild confusion, but before she could react, he bent down and lightly brushed a kiss against the corner of her lips, quick as a dragonfly touching water. Before she could even feel the warmth, he had already pulled away.

He looked at her, tenderness almost overflowing from his eyes. It made Thora slightly uneasy.

Suddenly, she felt a small sting in her arm. At some point, Darius had already removed the IV needle.

She looked up at him, puzzled.

While disinfecting the small mark on her wrist and tidying things up, he smiled. “You don’t like it, right? Then I’ll take you outside for a walk.”

It wasn’t that she didn’t like it. She just thought it wasn’t necessary. In her mind, as long as she didn’t die. nothing was a big deal.

She let Darius help her into a coat. She knew he probably wanted to tell her something.

After getting dressed, Thora got out of bed and lightly moved her body, making sure there was wrong. Only then did she fully relax.

Around the manor was a large private park. It was spacious. Besides her and Darius, there was no one else sight.

Thora looked around. “Did you rent out this whole place?”

Walking beside her, Darius gave a subtle nod. “More or less.”

Edelburg was ten degrees of latitude away from the Golden Triad, but the seasons weren’t that different.

There was no snow, but the temperature felt like late autumn. A faint chill lingered in the air, and yellow leaves covered the ground.

They walked side by side. Their heights were almost the same. Their shadows overlapped on the fallen leaves, blending perfectly into the scenery, like a painting.

Thora had just recovered from a serious injury. Even though she didn’t think she needed special care, Darius still kept an arm lightly around her waist, carefully supporting her.

“When did you figure it out?” Darius suddenly asked.

“During the military academy assessment,” Thora answered calmly.

He stopped walking and looked at her, surprised.

“When I first met him, I thought Draven was just Draven. But even twins can’t have the same height and weight. And Draven always wore black gloves,” she said slowly. “Because of his palm lines, right?”

Darius didn’t respond. He neither admitted nor denied it. His silence was answer enough.

“Just from that?” he asked.

Thora looked at him, her mouth lifting slightly. “If you hadn’t turned back into yourself after the lightning that day, I might not have figured it out.”

After all, Draven and Darius were completely different people.

Darius frowned, still a little confused.

Thora gave him a cool glance and walked toward a bench under a large tree.

“What do you think I relied on to tell you and Draven apart?”

Darius stood where he was, watching her sit down and replaying her words in his mind.

After a long silence, he suddenly smiled. She could tell him and Draven apart because he was Darius.

No matter what form he took, she would recognize him That was all.

So when he pretended to be Draven, she had actually noticed long ago. Even though it felt exposed himself, he couldn’t help but feel pleased.

Darius sat down beside Thora. After a long silence, he finally began telling her the things
