Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1097

The workers asked Yanny after taking a glance at the acacia tree on the truck behind them, "Where are we sending this tree to? Do you have an address?"

Yanny had yet decided on where to move the tree as she was in a fit of rage earlier. There was no room to plant the tree in her Blue Water Residential mansion either. The only place she could plant the tree would be her grandmother's house back at Lushway Town.

"Bring it to Lushway Town…"

Before Yanny could finish, Shayne had already interjected by telling the driver, "Just bring it to Luna Mansion 88 on Central Ring Road, junction 888."

Yanny was a little stunned as she stared at him and felt that he looked slightly charming at that moment.

After the truck that was carrying the acacia tree left, Shayne walked hand in hand with Yanny toward his car.

Yanny finally asked him when they were in the car, "Would it be inappropriate if the acacia tree is planted in your mansion?"

"What's so inappropriate about that? My courtyard lacks a tree, you know."

Not to mention, he would not have to worry about her running away from him when this acacia tree that held so much meaning to her was planted in his courtyard.

She would not be able to escape from him.

When Shayne started his car, he noticed her depressed mood, so he raised his arm and squeezed her cheeks before teasing her, "If you dare disappoint me, I will chop the tree down just to get back at you. I now have leverage against you, so best you treat me better."

Yanny could not help but laugh as she said, "So you only agreed to plant the acacia tree over at your place just so that you can control me, huh?"

Yanny thought about it after a brief moment and realized that planting the tree over at Shayne's place would be a good idea since this could be considered as dowry for their wedding.

Yanny reached over and held onto one of Shayne's hands as she said, "Do you know the deeper meaning of an acacia tree?"

"Huh?"

"Not only does the acacia tree represent maternal love, but it also represents the peaceful bond between a married couple. It also means reincarnation after death. Although it represents the peaceful bond between relationships, it also means the fruitful reconciliation after a relationship has been fractured."

Shayne was gleaming with a smug grin as he said, "Isn't that suitable for us then?"

Yanny smiled as a serious glint flashed across the bottom of her eyes. She said, "But I don't want to reconcile with you after a fractured relationship at all."

This was because every fractured relationship would often require both parties to part ways. However, humans had such a short lifespan, so how many reconciliations could one actually take?

After Shayne understood what she meant when she made the statement, he squeezed her hand tightly before bringing it close to his lips and kissing it. He said, "No, I will always be here for you."

The acacia tree was planted in the Luna Mansion's courtyard.

After the acacia tree was planted, Shayne hired a professional gardener to watch over the tree. Since the acacia tree was an arboreus tree, it was excellent in adapting to new environments. It did not take long for it to blossom and bloom with life in a new patch of soil.

It started to snow in North City when New Year's Eve approached.

The fireplace was lit in the Luna mansion and Yanny was being cuddled by Shayne as she looked at the snow covered acacia tree out in the courtyard through the window. Yanny turned around to look at him before cracking a calm smile as she asked, "So, are we living together now?"

"Are you not my fiance now?"

It seemed that the mansion at Blue Water Residences had been vacant for a really long time now. Ever since Shayne planted the acacia tree at Luna Mansion, he brought Yanny along with him as well.

It seemed that regardless of what kind of wife Shayne was going to marry in the future and how he planned his wedding to be was completely up to him.

Charles did not want to intervene since he would already be very happy to see Shayne getting married, so why would he care who his future daughter-in-law would be?

However, Charles was the most important relative to Shayne and Yanny would be more than willing to please Old Master Jinn.

Shayne leaned over, lowered his head and nuzzled up against her earlobes before speaking in a low gentle voice, "Bring your grandmother over to spend the new year with us. I'll invite my grandfather and Samantha as well."
