Yanny woke up at seven in the morning and pulled all the blinds downstairs. The refreshing sea breeze filled every corner of the mansion as the sunlight beamed in from the window.
The beaming sunlight looked stunning.
The blue sea was located not far from outside the window. One could also see the golden sun, white sand, yachts, and seagulls.
Shayne was still sleeping on the soft bed in the bedroom upstairs. Yanny always thought that his body clock was messed up. He would always sleep late and wake up sluggishly. On the other hand, Yanny had an old person’s body clock.
She thought sleeping was not exactly the best activity to do when they were at such a beautiful and sunny place. It was only right to wake up at seven to make breakfast.
Yanny walked to the fridge and checked out the ingredients they had. Knowing Shayne’s character, she assumed that the fridge would be empty even if he had stayed there for quite some time. However, she realized the fridge was well-stocked with all sorts of food when she opened it.
She thought it was weird. She mumbled as she took some fresh ingredients out of the fridge, “This is unusual. Did he learn how to cook?”
The doorbell rang just as Yanny was about to make some sandwiches.
Ding, dong. Ding, dong.
Yanny ran to the door thinking it might be a delivery guy or newspaperman. However, a foreign woman with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a slender figure was standing outside when she opened the door.
Yanny subconsciously scanned the woman from top to bottom. She was indeed very pretty.
Disappointment flashed across the woman’s eyes as she saw Yanny. She asked Yanny in fluent American English, “Hi, I’m looking for Mr. Jinn. Is he home?”
Yanny answered in English, “He’s sleeping upstairs. May I ask who you are? Is there anything you need?”
The woman looked Yanny up and down with a weird gaze. “Who are you? How are you related to Mr. Jinn?”
Yanny was wearing Shayne’s white shirt and a pair of denim shorts. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun with a few strands of hair hanging loosely at the front of her face. It was obvious she did not have any makeup on. Judging by her casual look, everyone could tell that she had just gotten out from a man’s bed.
A seductive, mature, handsome, and charismatic man was sleeping inside the mansion. It made no sense that Yanny did not sleep with him.
It took more than great luck to sleep with a man like Shayne.
Yanny held onto the mansion’s wooden door with one hand as she said teasingly, “I’m Mr. Jinn’s fiancé.”
The pretty woman seemed somewhat confused. “What? Isn’t Mr. Jinn single?”
Yanny answered patiently, “He was indeed single until yesterday. However, he’s no longer single now.”
The woman was surprised. “You managed to pursue Mr. Jinn in one day?”
Yanny was left speechless. Feeling somewhat awkward, she rubbed her nose. What she said earlier was a bit exaggerated.
Yanny noticed the woman carrying two fresh lettuces and sort of understood the situation. “Are you here to deliver these vegetables?”
The woman seemed a bit frustrated after finding out Shayne was no longer single. She ran her fingers through her hair and said, “I’m chasing after Mr. Jinn, which is why I deliver vegetables to him every day. This is really bad news. It’s terrible!”
Yanny was speechless.
She wondered whether Shayne was really that charming. He had girls chasing after him although he had escaped to a small island where nobody knew him.
The woman was furious. She looked at the lettuce in her hand angrily and said, “Since Mr. Jinn is taken, I’ll take this lettuce back! Hmph, I’m not going to be the only one sulking anyway.”
Yanny was curious. “Who else will be sulking?”
“Almost all the women in this street delivered vegetables to Mr. Jinn before this. I’m sure they’ll regret it a lot once they find out."
Was all the food in his fridge given from women on this island?
Yanny was speechless. She never imagined that Shayne was such a ladies’ man when she was not with him.
All the women down the street had a crush on him. That was terrifying.
Yanny sent a few ladies away that morning. One of them was a 10-year-old girl.
