Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 140

Not long after, John Fudd brought Little Jelly Bean to the hospital.

Madam Leah, who was following behind John Fudd, placed an insulated food container on the table and opened it up to prepare breakfast.

Little Jelly Bean dashed over to Heaton Fudd and asked, “Daddy, what happened to you? Grandpa said that if your arm is broken, you can’t carry me anymore. Daddy, when will you become well again?”

The child frowned and gave him a worried look, shooting him many questions. She went on to lay down on his chest when Nancy Xander said, “Jelly Bean, be careful, don’t lie on your daddy’s arm.”

Heaton Fudd lifted his left hand and caressed Little Jelly Bean’s head. With his hoarse voice, he said gently to her, “Don’t worry, Daddy will recover very soon.”

“Daddy, you must recover soon, because Jelly Bean is worried. Grandpa is worried too.”

John Fudd sat on one side, waving his hand at Little Jelly Bean. “Jelly Bean, come sit with Grandpa. If you accidentally touch Daddy’s arm and it doesn’t recover, he won’t be able to carry you anymore.”

The child nodded understandingly and ran over to John Fudd.

John Fudd held his granddaughter and asked quietly, “Your arm is hurt. How come I don’t see that woman, Verian Mont, taking care of you?

Hearing Verian Mont’s name mentioned, Little Jelly Bean pursed her lips and asked curiously, “Daddy, didn’t you get back together with Monty?”

Heaton Fudd’s face turned dark and he and did not answer.

John Fudd frowned and asked, “Got back together? Do you two fight frequently?”

He never liked Verian Mont. She was certainly not as graceful as his daughter-in-law, Nancy Xander. Not to mention that Heaton Fudd brought her home without consulting him. That was the main reason Verian Mont was never on his good side.

Besides, she partnered up with Heaton to lie to him. This alone made him even more angry at her.

“Since you two aren’t married and if you don’t get along, just break it off.”

The Old Master voice was calm, but his tone was serious.

As soon as he said that, Little Jelly Bean was the first one to disagree. “Grandpa, I want Monty to be my Mommy, I don’t want anyone else!”

John Fudd indulged her, “Alright, alright, whatever Jelly Bean wants.”

After a while, Little Jelly Bean said she wanted to use the toilet, so Madam Leah brought her to the restroom. John Fudd walked toward Heaton’s bed with his walking stick and said in full seriousness, “Consider really carefully what I just said. That girl doesn’t suit you. I’m sure you know that after being with her for so long.

Heaton raised his dark eyes. Sternly, he said, “Dad, please do not interfere, I’m very sure about who I want.”

John Fudd’s face turned dark. Seeing his expression, Nancy Xander said gently, “Heaton, why must you go against Dad? Dad doesn’t like Verian Mont, can’t you see?”

“You played a major role in Dad’s dislike toward Verian Mont.”

The cold retaliation from the man stunned Nancy. “Heaton, what are you talking about…”

John Fudd frowned deeper. “Enough. All of you can never leave me in peace. You’re not even comparable to Little Jelly Bean, who is only three!”

When Madam Leah brought Little Jelly Bean out of the restroom, John Fudd told Heaton, “I’m going. You take care. Think carefully about what I said! Nancy, you stay and take care of him.”

“Okay, Dad.”

Little Jelly Bean waved at Heaton Fudd and said adorably, “Daddy, I’ll come and see you again tomorrow.”

When only Heaton, Nancy and Kush Xavier were left in the room, Heaton said coldly, “You can go home.”

Kush thought it was directed at him and immediately answered, “Yes.” He got ready to leave. Heaton frowned.

“Who asked YOU to leave!”

Speechless, Kush anxiously looked at Nancy.

Nancy pursed her lips and said, “Heaton, you heard it. Dad wants me to stay back and take care of you.”
