Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 247

The sharp, ear-piercing sound of shattering ceramic suddenly broke the silence in the middle of the night at Ocean City.

“If you guys can’t save and wake him up then just scram!”

A young lady blew up in a fit of rage to a group of doctors while an elderly housekeeper politely came forward.

“Madam, although this man has been in a coma for several days now, his vitals are still normal. He should be fine.”

The lady frowned and said, “It’s already been seven days, would he end up in a vegetative state?”

The housekeeper replied, “Madam… You wouldn’t have a crush on him now, would you?”

“Didn’t my dad keep trying to matchmake someone with me every single day? The people he arranged for me are not as handsome as the man who drowned. If he wakes up, I want him to be my fiance!”

“Madam… This isn’t right. Besides, this man’s identity is still a mystery.”

The lady scoffed and said, “I don’t care if his identity is a mystery or not, I like him!”

Suddenly, a maid who was taking care of the man rushed out from the room. “Ma-madam! He’s awake!”

Yuna immediately walked into the room in her high heels.

Although the man who was lying on the bed had just woken up and his face looked inhumanly pale, his facial features were intricately detailed, and he looked extremely handsome.

“You’re awake?”

Yuna sat on the chair next to his bed. She rested her chin on both arms while staring intensely at him.

Heaton was lying on the bed and instinctively reached out to touch his throbbing head before being stopped by Yuna. “Hey, you can’t touch it! The injury on your head is quite bad!”

Heaton stared at the stranger in front of him with a frown. He asked, “Who are you? Where am I?”

“Me?” Yuna giggled while staring at him. She spoke with a smug look on her face, “I just so happen to be your savior! You are now in the Yames household. Do you know the Yames family? Our family is very reputable in all of Ocean City. It is an honor for you to be picked up and brought back here! If it wasn’t for me, you’d be long dead under the sea!”

Heaton’s mind was completely blank as he asked, “How did I end up in the sea?”

“Well… I’m not sure about that. You really can’t recall a thing?”

Heaton shook his head and said, “No, not a thing.”

“You wouldn’t have…lost your memories now, right? You…do you still remember your name, right?”

Yuna looked at him with a curious gaze as she wondered if this man had actually broken something in his brain after falling into the sea.

It would be such a shame if he was mentally impaired with such a handsome face, right? She had no feelings toward the mentally ill!

The man pouted his thin lips and said, “Xavier Fudd.”

Luna’s eyes lit up as she said, “You remembered you name! This means you didn’t lose your memory?”

Heaton replied with a simple, “Yeah.”

“Xavier, Xavier…” Luna repeatedly mumbled his name. She said, “This name sounds pretty awesome.”

The housekeeper led the doctor inside and told Yuna, “Madam, since Mr. Fudd has just woken up, please allow the doctor to check on him.”

“Alright!”

While the doctor was checking up on him, Yuna was mumbling on the side, “I’m your savior, you know. So, how do you plan on repaying me?”

“What do you want?”

Heaton’s response was extremely cold. Since Yuna had always been spoiled like a princess ever since she was little, she had never experienced anyone treating her coldly because everyone would always embrace her and do whatever she wanted.

However, the colder Heaton’s treatment was, the more respect Yuna had for him.

“I want you to be my bodyguard.”

The instant the housekeeper heard that, he rushed to stop her. “You can’t do that, madam. He… His past is still a mystery… What if he’s…”

“Uncle George, I’m certain that this man has zero ulterior motives. When we found him by the beach, he had already stopped breathing. Would he risk his life just to get closer to me or the Yames family? Wouldn’t he already be dead if I didn’t save him then?”
