Sarah realized that there was no escape from this ordeal so she said, “My daughter knew nothing about this incident but I do.”
“Mom…” Jane grabbed onto Sarah.
Sarah turned around and patted her head with a smile while saying, “Mommy will come home soon, don’t worry about me, okay?”
“But mom…”
“Jane…”
Sarah glared at James when he seemed as if he was about to say something. After that, she followed the cops into their car.
James had never expected that Sarah would take the fall for Jane.
After the police cars had left, Jane kicked the luggage away and stared resentfully at James. She said, “I hate you!”
…
Verian got what she wanted as she stayed in the same room as Heaton in the hospital.
Since Heaton’s back was severely burned, he had to lie on his stomach when he slept.
Verian leaned by his side while looking at that blurry bloody messy wound on his back. Her fingers hovered at a few centimeters above the wound. She wanted to touch it but she could not.
It must hurt a lot.
Since even while Heaton slept, he was frowning so how could it not hurt.
Since Heaton suffered a serious burn, he slept very lightly. Perhaps he could feel her burning gaze which apparently woke him up.
Verian stared at him and said, “You’re awake?”
Heaton gave a calm reply before reaching out his long arms and placing them on her. He asked, “Why aren’t you sleeping?”
“I’m not tired and I can’t sleep. That’s right, who exactly kidnapped me?”
“Might be Jane.”
