Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 328

On their way back from Sea World, Heaton said while driving, “If you’re not sick of staring at whales, we can drive to the beach and look at whales next time.”

Verian smiled and merely replied with, “Alright.”

She actually really wanted to wait for the whales to appear by the beach and watch the sunset with him if she still had the chance to return to North City.

However, she was unsure if she would ever still have such a chance.

Verian seemed unfocused when they returned to the Shallow Bay Mansion. Heaton hugged her from behind, lowered his head to kiss her temple and asked with a whisper, “What’s wrong? Something seems to be bothering you?”

“Nothing, I was just thinking when we’ll go watch the whales by the beach.”

Heaton chuckled and said, “When the holidays arrive in a few days, it doesn’t matter if you watch them for three days and three nights straight. I’ll take you there then.”

“When the new year arrives… shouldn’t we visit the relatives?”

“Although I have plenty of relatives in my family, due to the old man being the oldest in the family, our family outranks most of them. The relatives are mostly younger and some of them are just lazy. Besides, the new year spirit in the city is pretty lacking. The most we’d do is share a meal at a restaurant together for a reunion dinner.”

Verian nodded and said, “That is pretty good. Then, that means I don’t have to greet so many relatives since they don’t seem too friendly.”

Heaton stared at her and could not hold back his laughter. He said, “Why do I feel like Madam Fudd is complaining about my family having a bad temper?”

“Is that not the case? You… especially though.”

Verian turned around in his arms, facing him directly as she ran her fingers on his chest. She lowered her gaze and spoke while staring at the buttons of his shirt, “Your mood is unstable and sometimes I don’t even exactly know how I have offended you and you’d suddenly be mad.”

Heaton held onto her tiny hands as he listened to her vent. He lowered his gaze and stared intently at her with his dark eyes as he teased, “Don’t you like my unstable mood swings?”

Verian glared at him and pretended to be mad as Heaton frantically hugged her. He said while holding onto the back of her head, “Fine... I’ll change. I won’t have unstable mood swings toward Madam Fudd and I’ll direct them only at other people.”

Verian advised him, “You can’t have unstable mood swings toward Little Jelly Bean too. She’s still young and it’ll leave a bad impact on her if you treat her like that.”

Heaton laughed and said, “Judging from the tone of your voice, anyone who is oblivious might actually think that I abuse Little Jelly Bean all the time.”

Verian spoke in a serious tone, “I know you treat Little Jelly Bean well but she’s still young and you shouldn’t be too strict on her.”

As Verian continued to nag, Heaton glared at her and said, “Why do you seem so odd today?”

Verian immediately grew cautious. “How am I being odd?”

Heaton stared at her for a few good seconds before finally cracking a laugh. He raised his hand and patted her head while saying, “Hurry up, take a shower and go to bed.”

“You still have to work when it’s already this late?”

“I just have to take care of a few emails. I’ll come and sleep with you real soon.”

His gaze felt burningly hot to the point that Verian blushed. She lowered her head and gave a simple reply, “Go on then.”

After Verian was done showering, she noticed Heaton walking out of the study the moment she got out of the washroom.

“That fast?”

Heaton was making a Lego build. It was left behind by Little Jelly Bean when she was here two days ago. She wanted him to return it to her after he was done making it. It did not take long for the man’s huge agile hands to finish putting the Lego together.

“How can I act slow when you yearn for me to sleep with you? If I dare affect your mood, you might actually throw a fit at me.”

“... Since when have I ever done that?”

Verian pouted her lips. Since when was she ever that unreasonable.

Heaton called out to her, “Come over.”

Verian approached him when Heaton gestured for her to come over. She asked, “What for?”
