Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 329

“Verian, just think of it as me asking you for a favor or me begging you but please don’t contact Heaton, okay? You know him better than anyone. Even if you both are related by blood and even if there’s a possibility of your identity being exposed, he will stop at nothing. However, if he continues being with you without any regard of the consequences, do you have any idea just how many people would be caught up in it?”

Verian’s eyes were completely red. She sniffled while nodding her head hard as she said, “I understand, dad. I… I won’t contact Heaton.”

Verian handed her phone to Old Master Fudd. This meant that she would no longer be in contact with anyone from North City.

After Old Master Fudd accepted her phone, he said, “Be careful once you arrive in Florence since it’s still a foreign land and you’re a lone woman. It’s up to you if you want to look for a job or not. If you are short of money, give my assistant a call. Directions to contact him are included in the bag.

The assistant who was standing beside the old man said, “If there’s any problem at all, madam, just give me a call anytime.”

The P.A. system chimed in the main lobby.

“Fellow passengers, the flight to Florence with the flight number LH654343 is ready for boarding. Please head to the departure gate to get your boarding passes checked.”

Verian held onto the envelope, bit her lips and said, “I… I’ll be off now.”

“Go on, now.”

The old man sent her off while clutching onto his walking stick. His tears fell the moment Verian turned around.

The last time she went overseas was three years ago.

That was when her father had passed and Queena had kicked her out from the Mont family mansion. She was left with nothing and was completely hopeless then when she left North City. She had absolutely no intentions of staying and the only thing she thought about was leaving this land of sorrow as soon as possible. She even thought about never returning.

This time however, she left with a heavy heart.

She raised her hand to wipe her tears. She then paused, turned around and told the old man, “I’ll leave Little Jelly Bean in your care then, dad.”

“Don’t you worry. I’ll take good care of her and educate her.”

Her tears began to fall uncontrollably.

She squeezed the diamond ring around her ring finger and all she could feel was the tightness and pure agony around her chest. She did not turn around but rushed to the departure hall instead.

John sighed as he stared at Verian’s leaving figure.

His assistant asked in a worried tone, “How are we going to answer to President Fudd if he asks about it?”

“We’ll tell him honestly. He’s not dumb so he wouldn’t be unaware of the consequences if he decides to stay with Verian.”

Verian leaned against the window of the plane while clutching onto the envelope. She cried for a long time until she fell asleep.

When she woke up, the sky was already dark and all she could hear was the soft hum of the engines.

It was already 8 p.m. when Verian looked at the time.

Heaton should already be at home at this hour. Had he already discovered that she was missing?

He was most probably frantically looking everywhere for her…

With that thought, Verian started tearing up uncontrollably.

Suddenly, a clean handkerchief was handed to her from the passenger sitting next to her.

Verian was stunned as she raised her head to look over.

The person was a handsome looking Eastern man.

“Take it.”

The Eastern looking man handed her a handkerchief. His voice sounded really charming. However, no matter how perfect a person could be, they could not compare to her Heaton in her heart.

Verian reluctantly accepted the handkerchief as she said, “Thank you.”

The Eastern man did not continue speaking. Instead, he opened up his laptop and began hammering on the keyboard with his long slender fingers.

After Verian wiped away her tears, she opened up the envelope.
