Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 334

Serene’s eyes were startled wide open. She opened her jaw wide in disbelief as she repeated her question, “You... are you saying that you’re now… you’re now at the ground floor of my house in Clear River Town?”

“I’ll give you a minute to come downstairs.”

Serene was speechless.

Serene’s parent’s voices could be heard coming from the kitchen, “Honey, the dumplings are ready. Hurry up and have some. What condiments do you wish to have with your dumplings?”

Serene whispered, “But... but I’m about to eat some dumplings though!”

“Or, do you want me to go upstairs and look for you directly?”

Although Wilson’s voice sounded calm, Serene could obviously tell that he was threatening her.

The phone call ended before she could even say anything else.

Serene felt helpless and slightly terrified when she heard the beeping sounds when the phone call was hung up.

Why did Hades Jarret have to drop by Clear Water Town during the New Year? Was he paying his relatives a visit again this time?

Serene was afraid of him actually coming upstairs and his parents would assume that he was Chainer. The previous encounter was already embarrassing enough and she did not wish to lie to her parents again.

When Serene’s parents brought the dumplings out, she was no longer in the living room.

“Huh? Where did Serene wander off to?”

“Yeah, she was just here a moment ago though. Honey? Serene?”

Serene bolted downstairs in a long black down jacket.

As expected, Wilson’s black Audi was parked downstairs.

The man was wearing a black windbreaker while standing amidst the cold night. He was holding onto a lit cigarette in between his long slender fingers. He looked elegant.

Serene was stunned at that moment.

It was not because she had never seen handsome men before as there were plenty of attractive men while she was still studying at North City Medical University. These men were either the most attractive in the school, the class or some seniors who were basketball players. However, their looks were quite different to Wilson’s. As for how they differed though, Serene could not come up with an explanation on a whim.

Perhaps… this was the charm of a mature man Shirley told her about?

Serene scratched her head while standing a tiny distance away from him. She awkwardly asked, “You... what are you doing in Clear River Town?”

How did this man who just sent her a WeChat text message a second ago airdrop himself into this small town the next?

Did he teleport?

Wilson raised his brows. It was obvious that he was not satisfied with her opening line. He shook the ash off his cigarette with his fingers and spoke in a neutral tone, “So, you can drop by Clear River Town and I can’t?”

Serene was speechless.

That was not what she meant.

“Master, are you here to visit that relative of yours?”

Wilson replied, “Come over.”

Was this brat afraid of him eating her for standing so far away from him?

Was he really that scary and was no different to a monster in her eyes?

Serene bit her lips, took a few steps forward and when she was close to him, she was suffocated by the cigarette scent that lingered around him. She coughed, “Cough, cough.”

Wilson frowned deeper as he said, “Can’t stand the scent of cigarettes?”

Serene mumbled, “My dad never smokes and besides... breathing in secondhand smoke is one way to die sooner.”

Wilson cracked a subtle smile while staring at her with a burning dark gaze. With a slight movement of his hand holding the cigarette, he tossed it next to his foot before extinguishing it with his leather shoes.

Serene lowered her tiny face as she stared at those black glossy leather shoes approaching closer to the tips of her shoes. She wanted to take a step back instinctively. However, the man’s long slender arm was a step faster than her as he hugged her waist.

Serene was startled and the moment she looked up, she was met with Wilson’s charmingly deep gaze.

Serene was left speechless.

Why was he trying to act all smug and cool under her apartment amidst the cold wind?

Wilson lowered his handsome face and asked while completely fixated on her tiny face, “What’s up with that single Happy New Year wish?”

“Well, I just sent it by mistake. I only wanted to send it to my colleague… huuu!”

He pressed his lips against hers. That stopped her from breathing.
