Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 413

Bam!

Wilson punched Ruby hard in her face.

Fresh blood seeped out from the corner of her mouth. His punch was indeed hard and powerful. She could feel that her jaw nearly fell off from the punch just now.

He must be pretty furious, huh?

Wilson gave her a cold-eyed stare. “I don’t hit women but Ruby, you’ve crossed the line!”

Ruby licked her bleeding gum and looked at him. “Line? Since when your “line” refers to a woman? How long have you known her? Which one is more important? Brothers or women!”

“If you know your place and consider yourself as my brother, I wouldn’t have punched you in the face. Ruby Luna, I’ve never viewed you as a woman. Hence, I will advise you against having any delusions.”

“...”

After being chased out of the condominium, Ruby clenched her fists so tight that the crisps sounds of her knuckles cracking could be heard.

She made a call right away.

“Investigate this person, Serene Ludd, for me. I want to know all the information about her!”

Wilson returned to the bedroom and his gaze fell upon the middle of the bedsheet. His pupils constricted.

He sat on the bedside and massaged his temples. Right now, all he had in mind was the scene of the little girl crying.

They just got together last night and the next morning, Ruby barged into the house and ruined the atmosphere.

Previously, he kept lying to her, claiming that they had had sex together and she shall not act as if nothing happened between them. Serene was pure and innocent. Hence, she kept assuming that she had given him her virginity.

Serene was a good girl and he always knew that. A good girl would never involve herself with a man who was married. Hence, he knew he just overstepped her ethical boundary which she found most unacceptable. Even though Ruby and him pretended to be husband and wife just to complete a mission, their marriage certificate was indeed official and real.

Wilson felt jittery as he deliberated the matter. He felt he was suffocating as these thoughts drowned his mind.

As he lifted his head, he noticed Serene left her laptop behind and forgot to bring it along with her. She had her thesis draft on her laptop which he amended for her last night.

He never thought of parting with the little girl. He searched for her all these years and after going through so much effort and difficulties, he finally found her and got hold of her. How was he willing to let go of her?

Meanwhile, Verian brought Serene back to the Fudd Family Mansion.

Serene wailed pitifully and perhaps she was exhausted from crying. After Verian arranged her to rest in the guest room, she immediately fell asleep and slept for quite a while. Her face was full of tear marks.

Little Jelly Bean’s chatty noises resonated from downstairs.

“Monty! Monty! We’re home! Dad and I witnessed a peacock flaunting its tail earlier this afternoon!”

Verian walked downstairs and smiled at them. She then walked toward Little Jelly Bean and stroked her hair gently.

“Is it beautiful?”

She blinked her eyes in delight. “It’s beautiful! Its tail is so huge! Too bad you didn’t follow us, otherwise you could’ve seen it!”

“I will come along next time.”

As Heaton noticed the clothes she was wearing was street clothes and not the loungewear she wore this morning, he creased his brows slightly. “You went out just now?”

“Yes. Something happened to Serene.”

As Little Jelly Bean ran off in search for food to eat, Heaton voiced out his concern. “What happened?”

Verian glanced upstairs and said, “Serene is sleeping in the guestroom. What’s wrong with Wilson? He’s married and why did he still want to play around with Serene?”

Heaton was stunned, “What did you say?”

“... You didn’t know that? Wilson has a wife and they have a marriage certificate. This morning, Mrs. Jarret came to the house and humiliated Serene badly. Serene did not know about it and was kept in the dark all along. If she knew that Wilson was already married, she would never become the third wheel in Wilson and Mrs. Jarret’s relationship even if she was forced and beaten to death.”

As Verian was indignant at the injustice posed to Serene, Heaton patiently calmed her down. “There might be some misunderstanding. Wilson is not the kind of person who is irresponsible and rash.”
