Xylean was carried by Yandel back into the mansion.
While she was in a daze, Yandel carried her to the bathroom and washed her body. He then placed her on the big bed and hugged her tightly to sleep.
Xylean’s entire body felt like it was in pain. However, her heart felt the most pain.
Unconsciously, she rolled out from his arms so that her back faced him. Curling up like a baby, she shut him out of her world.
Yandel stared at the fair and tender back of her neck. His black eyes darkened as a flame of anger burned within him.
He forcefully wrenched her over to face him. “What are you hiding?”
“I don’t want to see you.” Xylean glared at him with reddened eyes.
“But I’m your man.”
‘Hah. A man who was forcing himself on me just moments ago.’
Yandel could not help but feel distressed. He gently caressed the corners of her wet, reddened eyes and lowered his head to kiss her forehead.
“...”
“Come over here and let me give you a hug.”
It was as if he were coaxing a three-year-old child.
In that moment, Xylean wanted to bite him to death.
However, Yandel was domineering. He did not care whether Xylean took the initiative or not as he stretched out his long arms, tightly encircling the little woman in his arms.
“Stop it, don’t you love eating Thousand Miles Fragrance shrimp dumplings? I’ll bring you there tomorrow morning, okay?”
“...”
Xylean bit her finger and remained silent. Yandel had always felt that he was the loser in this relationship. Having said that, Xylean clearly understood that it was actually her who was the complete loser from the beginning until now.
No matter how she shouted, quarreled, or bit him, her emotions would eventually be swallowed up by Yandel without a word. She had to obediently be the canary that belonged to him alone, unable to cross the chasms between them but also being unwilling to let go.
…
Xylean recuperated in the villa for several days. Rather than it actually being recuperating, one could say that Yandel had begun to lock her up like a prisoner again.
Yale had brought eight bodyguards over. Two stood at the front door, two at the back, two at the side, and the remaining two at the lawn downstairs just to prevent her from jumping from the second floor onto the lawn just to escape through the windows.
Once, Xylean had broken her leg while escaping when she was imprisoned by Yandel.
How cruel could Yandel be? After she broke her leg, she begged him to take her to a doctor. However, Yandel made her lie in bed, crying and screaming in pain for three whole days. She felt she had almost died from the pain, her body wet and sweaty.
Xylean hated him so much, yet he cruelly said that she should remember the pain and consequences of running away.
After that, there was a long period of time where Xylean did not dare to escape. The price that she had to pay was unforgettable and deeply engraved in her heart.
Until a year ago, she managed to escape successfully and run away for one whole year. However, as time passed, she actually began to worry that Yandel might have abandoned her.
Most people were scumbags. Prior to escaping, her heart and mind were always filled with escaping from his clutches. When she did escape from him and after a long time, she started to worry if another woman had already replaced her by his side.
Their relationship was at its best in the short period right after Yandel caught her and brought her back. This was because they had been apart for so long that he did not have the time to hurt or lose his temper at her. However, as time passed, they would start to quarrel again, causing their relationship to become stale again. Over time, Xylean picked up the habit of running away from him.
At noon, Yale ordered a meal from the Supreme Restaurant.
Xylean did not have a proper meal for several days. As the food from the Supreme Restaurant was appetizing and suited her tastes, she ate an extra half bowl of rice.
Yale felt relieved upon seeing that.
Ms. Xylean was finally willing to eat today.
When Yandel called Yale to ask for an update, Yale reported to him honestly.
Over the phone, the man instructed in a deep voice. “Employ the chef from the Supreme Restaurant.”
Yale thought he had misheard what Yandel had said. ‘What?’
‘Invite the chef from the Supreme Restaurant? Just to cook for Ms. Xylean?’ Yale thought to himself.
“Are you deaf?”
“Second Young Master, should I go hire him now? The Supreme Restaurant’s chef…”
“Now, right away, immediately. Have the Supreme chef cook for Leannie tonight.
“...”
