The next morning, Ruby went to the laboratory to get the men to eat breakfast.
"Even if you want to continue the experiment, you'll need to have some food before that, right?"
Thompson stood up drowsily. He waved his hand and said, "I can't continue sleeping in the laboratory. I almost broke my hip after only one night."
"Did you get any sleep, Wilson? Go wash up and rest for a while. By the way, I have a plan that I need to discuss with you guys."
Wilson knew that Ruby meant the plan about Stephen. He took off his gloves and followed them out of the laboratory after he sanitized his hands.
Wilson went to the ward to visit Serene before he went to the dining table.
Wilson would talk to her every day to try to wake her up.
Wilson would also take care of Serene. He would wipe her delicate face and hands with a hot towel.
"Babe, I'm researching an antidote, and I will succeed soon. Just hold on a little longer, alright?"
"After you've woken up and your body gets better, we'll get married and have another child."
"Don't you like children? We can have as many children as you want, okay?"
Wilson wiped her hand with a hot towel. Then he kissed it before he placed them back under the blanket.
The man kissed Serene on her forehead before he stood up to leave.
Wilson looked at the girl's delicate face and asked, "Babe, I really miss you. Can you wake up and look at me?"
However, the girl on the bed still had her eyes closed. Her pale lips were pursed, but she was unresponsive.
Serene was conscious when they extracted the microchip.
It felt like she was in a long dream.
The dreams felt real yet seemed so unreal.
Serene came in the front door. The door suddenly opened with a creek and Wilson appeared in front of her.
Serene was very excited, and she wanted to run to him. "Wilson!"
However, Wilson could see or hear her. There seemed to be an invisible boundary. She pounded on the wall with all her might. She also yelled at Wilson and waved at him, but he did not see her at all.
Serene was very anxious. She used her small body to knock on the wall several times, but there was no use.
She sat on the ground and looked at Wilson, who was behind the wall. She saw Wilson stood by a bed and the person on it was none other than herself.
