Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 606

At the brightly lit Shallow Bay Mansion in North City

Verian Mont and Little Jelly Bean were in the open-air pool. The child had a yellow ducky float with a matching swimming cap. She was having the time of her life as she kicked around with her two stubby legs.

Even though the pool was not deep, and Little Jelly Bean was at the shallow end with a float, Verian was still worried. She did not take her eyes off her daughter.

Heaton stood by the glass wall; he had just talked to Wilson over the phone. His heart warmed as he looked at his wife and child.

He walked to the pool. Verian and Little Jelly Bean did not notice him as they had their backs to him. He crouched silently as he snuck up to splash water at them.

It took Verian and Little Jelly Bean by surprise as they turned around to see Heaton looking at them playfully.

Little Jelly Bean swam toward her father and said, "Daddy, you're mean! You snuck up on us!" Then she splashed water at Heaton.

Verian got out of the pool and asked, "Why don't you join us?"

Heaton stared at her as he replied, "If Little Jelly Bean were not here, I'd accompany you in a heartbeat."

Verian did not get his hint. Before she could react, Little Jelly Bean asked, "Daddy, why won't you join Monty if I'm here?"

"Well, it would be more fun with Monty alone. With you here, it would be less interesting," Heaton replied.

Verian blushed. That man! She cupped some water in her hand and splashed it at Heaton.

"Heaton Fudd! It's not springtime!"

Little Jelly Bean cocked her head. 'What could you do in springtime?'

Heaton grabbed Verian's arm and pulled her to him. He whispered, "Does one need a specific season to have the hots for my beautiful wife?"

Heaton's handsome, dark eyes were flirtatious.

Verian was a little embarrassed. She pushed him away and said, "I'm not talking to you. I'll swim with Little Jelly Bean."

However, Heaton pulled her back and said, "I have something to tell you."
