Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 634

Serene was curious to know whose singlet this was. Wilson actually dared to hide another woman’s singlet behind her back!

Serene’s expression immediately turned bitter. She was planning to punish Wilson thoroughly when he returned from the borders.

Her gaze landed on another item in the box. It seemed like a diary but did not look new. It was probably something he had kept for a long time.

Serene’s eyes lit up. How unexpected. She wondered if Wilson still had the habit of writing in a diary.

She wanted to take a glimpse into what little secrets could be written in this diary!

At this very moment, Ruby had been searching for Serene for a really long time now. Due to how massive this mansion was, Ruby grew impatient of searching for Serene and decided to call out to her, “Serene!”

Serene’s heart trembled. It seemed like that monster lady was searching for her now, so she frantically closed the box’s lid. If Ruby had seen what she was up to, she would never stop making fun of her Wilson!

After Serene placed everything back into the box, she hid it back and locked the safe.

When Ruby’s search brought her to the study, she noticed Serene reading a comic book the instant she opened the door.

“What are you doing in the study? His study is littered with all kinds of traps. If you accidentally triggered any one of them, a hail of bullets will be waiting for you as a result.”

Serene’s little neck trembled as she asked, “Really? You’re lying to me, aren’t you?”

Ruby scoffed and intentionally scared her by saying, “What reason do I have to lie to you? Hurry up and get out of there.”

Serene frantically rushed out of the study. She decided not to wander into such a dangerous place ever again in the future!

After dinner and Ruby had fallen asleep, it was rare for Serene to stay up late and be a night owl.

Her mind was focused on reading Wilson’s diary so she got out of bed, snuck into the study, and stole the box from the safe.

Serene snuck back into her room while carrying the box. She then sat on her huge bed and started looking through Wilson’s little secret.

Serene threw the white singlet out of the box before she started reading the diary.

“30/6/2007. Weather: clear. I went on a mission tonight and was ambushed by someone. However, I was saved by a little girl. I didn’t expect her to return to me. I thought she’d be timid and easily frightened by the gun in my hands. Perhaps, this is destiny’s doing since I found her little red bracelet when it fell into my pocket. There were three little porcelain balls threaded through the bracelet and there were some writings engraved on them. It reads, ‘Serene Ludd’ So, her name is Serene Ludd. huh?”

“1/9/2007. Weather: Rainy. I didn’t know why but somehow, I’ve actually sent someone to look into Serene. I found out that she’s from Clear River Town and is studying at Clear River Middle School. She should begin her semester today but too bad, it’s raining. I’m not sure if her backpack got drenched by the rain or not.”

“1/9/2007 Nightfall. I actually drove for nearly two hours just to visit that little rascal from Clear River Middle School. As expected, she didn’t bring her umbrella along but I told the security guard to leave an umbrella just for her. Think of it as a form of repayment for being my savior.”

Serene was wide-eyed. She finally recalled that when she was still in middle school, there was actually a period of time when her semester began during monsoon season. The security guard walked her in with an umbrella and even told her that it was her father who had left it for her. However, she knew her family never owned that umbrella so when she asked her father about it when she got home, her father told her that he had never dropped an umbrella off for her at school.

However, Serene just assumed it was the security guard’s mistake for recognizing the wrong student and parent. She thought it must have been dropped by another parent for their child.

She never expected that the umbrella was left behind by Wilson.

Serene’s heart was racing.

She frantically flipped to the last few pages…

“30/11/2007. Weather: Cloudy. It’s been a long while since I’ve seen that little brat. I somehow missed her. Could it be due to me carrying that red bracelet around with me during every mission I go to? Do I have these strange feelings because I keep looking at it everyday?”
