Lucy was in a dazed state from being asleep throughout the flight. She was instantly awoken when the warm summer winds washed over her when they alighted the plane after arriving at North City.
North City was a lot warmer than Peak Valley. It felt a lot more humid when they got out of the plane.
Yanni was hugging her as they got into their car while Dan drove them away.
“Boss, do you want to return to the office or head back home to rest?”
Due to how long Yanni was away from the company, there was plenty of work waiting for him to do. If this was any other day for Yanni, he would have taken care of the work in his office before heading home to rest. However, Lucy was currently pregnant and Yanni could not bear to bring her along to his office after she was completely exhausted from traveling for so long.
Yanni lowered his dark eyes to look at the slightly exhausted Lucy and said, “Let’s head back to the Blue Precture Villa.”
“Alright.”
Upon arriving at the Blue Precture Villa, the first thing Lucy noticed was the yard full of pink roses. The scent was mild but due to the amount of flowers being planted, the warm summer air was filled with the aromatic flowery scent.
All of the exhaustion and fatigue Lucy felt was finally relieved as she asked in a surprised tone, “Did you plant all of these roses?”
Aunt Yen was tending to the shrubs and flowers in the courtyard. When she noticed Yanni returning with Lucy, she greeted with a smile, “Sir, Miss Joyce. Both of you are finally back.”
Yanni did not answer Lucy’s question. Instead, he held onto Lucy’s hand and walked toward the mansion. When they walked by Aunt Yen, he told her, “You should stop addressing her as Miss Joyce from now on. You can address her as madam now.”
Aunt Yen was stunned as she glanced toward Lucy’s protruding little belly as her eyes lit up and immediately replied, “Yes, yes indeed. Madam… are you pregnant?”
Lucy blushed. She was a little flustered but she did not deny it as she nodded.
Aunt Yen asked further, “You should be pregnant for about five to six months now? Judging from the size of your belly?”
“Yeah, it’s a little over six months now.”
Yanni hugged Lucy’s waist as he spoke in a deep voice, “Let’s go inside. You’ve been traveling for a really long time now and you should rest. Aunt Yen, please make some herbal porridge.”
Aunt Yen replied with a smile after noticing Yanni’s amazing mood, “Alright, sir. I’ll get to it right now.”
Just as both Yanni and Lucy sat down on the couch to rest after entering the mansion, a roar of an engine could be heard coming from outside.
