Lucy was sitting on the couch while she ate some very intricately made snacks delivered by the Supreme Restaurant after Yanni went for his meeting. Those snacks were perfectly made as the texture was soft and delicious. Those snacks would make anyone addicted to them.
Lucy felt a little tired after she ate and just as she was about to head into the break room, a sharp woman’s voice could be heard coming from outside.
“You dare stop me? Do you have any idea who I am? I am the main spokesperson for the latest jewellery made by the Yash Company!”
“Miss, it doesn’t matter who you are. You’ll need to make an appointment beforehand if you want to meet President Quain even if you’re the spokesperson for our jewellery.”
“Get out of my way! Not only am I your company’s spokesperson, I am also President Quain’s girlfriend! If you guys dare stop me, I will have President Quain fire all of you!”
Lucy was a little stunned when she heard her claiming that she was President Quain’s girlfriend.
If that woman claimed that she was Yanni’s girlfriend who exactly would she be then?
Lucy did not hold herself back as she stood up immediately and walked out of the office.
The instant the door swung open, her gaze met the woman’s eyes. The woman who was currently causing a scene turned out to be the famous model, Coco Summers.
Coco assessed Lucy and when her gaze landed on Lucy’s protruding little belly, it immediately turned sharp.
Coco asked Dan in an arrogant tone, “Who is this woman, Assistant Dan? Why did she come out from President Quain’s office?”
Coco was pointing at Lucy and had no intentions of respecting her.
Dan did not hold anything back as he bluntly said, “Let me introduce her to you, Miss Summers. This is Madam Quain, President Quain’s wife, Lucy Joyce.”
Coco’s eyes trembled as she stared at Lucy with an unbelievable look. She exclaimed, “Impossible! There is no way President Quain would ever get married! President Quian used to tell me that he will never get married in his entire lifetime!”
Coco somehow knew a little bit about Yanni’s secrets. Yanni had a first love that he absolutely loved and he even said that the status of Madam Quain was only reserved for that love of his alone.
Unless that love of his faked her death or somehow crawled her way out from the grave, Yanni would never get married, right?!
Lucy was a little stunned and it seemed that Coco was actually quite close to Yanni or else she would never have known about Yanni’s refusal to get married in his lifetime.
Dan replied with a smile, “Miss Summers, it doesn’t matter if you believe it or not, the person standing in front of you is in fact President Quain’s wife, Madam Quain herself.”
Coco took a judgemental glance at Lucy’s belly as she scoffed and said, “Hmph. I understand now, you must’ve threatened President Quain with the child in your belly in order to have him marry you, right! Lucy, is it? I didn’t expect you to be such a calculative person for someone with such an innocent appearance!”
Coco walked around Lucy and assessed Lucy from head to toe while her gaze was filled with disdain.
However, Lucy said while she stood unfazed, “Assistant Dan, since this woman claims that she’s President Quain’s girlfriend then, we’ll have to get President Quain over here to have a look himself. Judging from how desperate and shamelessly Miss Summers is clinging onto someone else’s husband, it seems she really loves President Quain.”
Dan was stunned as even the way he looked at Lucy changed. He never expected Lucy who usually seemed so weak and frail would be so capable in snapping back at someone.
Coco’s face was incredibly flustered from being so agitated. She exclaimed, “You! Who are you calling shameless!”
Lucy calmly replied, “Whoever that clings onto another person’s husband is the shameless one!”
Coco was completely furious as she raised her hand and forcefully pushed Lucy!
“Lucy!”
The instant Yanni got out of the meeting room, he noticed Lucy was being pushed by someone. He rushed over and swiftly caught Lucy.
